Let's Acknowledge Our Enemies
I guess my message would be... Congratulations you succeeded in your mission. I feel bad about myself daily.
However I'm still here and unlike the pain you inflicted on me. I chose a different path. I make others smile, not cry.
I guess my spirit felt broken but in turn, I now give the fellow voiceless a voice. I make sure someone else understands them and they are finally heard.
But you don't get credit for that. I taught myself how to communicate and to be kind to myself and others, to undo all of your disrespect, cruelty, bullying and aggression.
I can live with everything I say and do because I'm not the monster :)
@ScrabbleBrain
Yes absolutely, they don't get credit for anything 🩵
@Amanda84 in spite of them......... I turned things around :)
@ScrabbleBrain
Yes, it bugs me when people say their behaviour taught you lessons, no, I figured it all out myself ! 🩵
@Amanda84 I literally was just thinking that myself. Being mistreated didn't suddenly make me enlightened or better.
I had to survive it first and then take responsibility for what I then said or did from then on.
@ScrabbleBrain
Yes absolutely, you being a t.ool is not going to gain you an award from me 🩵
@Amanda84 🤩 You're so great. 😂
@ScrabbleBrain
WOW! Strong Words! Yes Yes Yes! When we acknowledge we start a new beginning. When we acknowledge we kickout the past. 😁
@GreatestClassiest Thanks, the past will always be with me, because it's ongoing but at least the self loathing has passed.
@GreatestClassiest
Thank you "enemy" for playing the role you did in my life.
You unknowingly taught me resilience, silence, self-control, and how to protect my peace.
Not every rivalry needs revenge; sometimes the biggest victory is becoming unshaken by the negativity thrown at you.
I don’t wish you harm.
I just wish myself continued growth, wisdom, and a life so peaceful that old battles no longer matter.
In the lineages in which I’ve trained, we’re taught to see our enemies as our greatest teachers and place them as a guru at the crown of heads. (This signifies honor.) I’ve found this to be a useful practice and one that has also helped me with SELF compassion, because I’m often my own worse enemy and very harsh on myself. So by learning to treat difficult or problematic people as having valuable things to say-and don’t we all?-I also learn to stop and listen to what I have to say. I’m not perfect at this by any means. I still get irked, annoyed, and sarcastic. But I do find I move through the world a bit more easily, have a bit less darkness, and even deal with immense physical challenges a bit better than I did before. And I have some room to EXTEND kindness to others. So that’s a big win.
I'm going through this now, I call them my frenemies. and this is in my church smh
@GreatestClassiest
I would not say I have an enemy, but there have certainly been people who challenged me, disappointed me, or taught me difficult lessons.
Looking back, I can see that some of those experiences helped me develop greater resilience,
self-awareness, and clearer boundaries.
If I were to send them a message, it would be:
"Thank you for the lessons I did not know I needed at the time.
While some experiences were difficult, they encouraged me to grow, reflect, and better
understand myself. I genuinely wish you well and hope that both of us continue to learn
and move forward in our own journeys."
In the end, our enemies make us discover that part of life that we never knew, existed. Being positive minded and not paying attention to them, is the best option.
@JaynguzoI I totally agree with you!!!
I've got too many enemies than I can count. That's why I moved away from my old life so I can live a new life to be far away from them. So yeah.
Every single person you meet teaches you something. ❤️
