Make Your Friends... Your Mirror!!!
Hi again! A lot of times in life, we will feel really down about ourselves, our abilities, and maybe question what we mean to the people in our lives. We might question who we are, without our struggles, as we may identify ourselves purely as our struggle(s), and not see ourselves beneath all those complex layers. This activity might help bring back some self-love, as it certainly has done for me! This activity comes directly from the app SuperBetter (it's a great app for tracking your goals and teaching you ways to manage some of those goals!) Sorry for the spoiler! ;) The task is pretty simple- find 3 friends (or more, if you're feeling ambitious! Preferably via text) and ask them these questions:
1) Why does this friend think you ROCK?
2) What's your unique brand of sparkliness?
3) What do they admire about who you are and how you show up in the world?
Then, record their responses down on paper or on your phone in one document, and place it somewhere you can see it often. This helps in reminding us, both on our good and bad days, that we are worthy, we are good people and we are LOVED. Good luck!
That's it for this post! Have a good week, everyone! xx
@windflowers done :D thanks again! xx
@rebecca947
wait, isn't this the same thing? i meant a section for each user -- for instance, if they put up a post and tagged someone as a reply to this thread, others would write positive messages for them. sorry if that wasn't clear!
@windflowers uh sorry but how do I do that? I'm a bit confused haha
@rebecca947
how do you delete your post, you mean? unfortunately, only forum leaders have the power to do so, and i'm not one of them XDD perhaps you could reach out? i know @halliwellsister has the power to but no one else comes to mind right now, sorry!!
Should I delete this post ? @windflowers
@HalliwellSister
@rebecca947 what do you think? :)
@windflowers uh, before that... Sorry, but how do I create a section for each user?! Like, the new post... I'm pretty new to this kinda stuff aha
@rebecca947
not sure what you mean.
@rebecca947
it's honestly up to you!! i'd suggest laying out a set of rules as the first post. for example, 'if you would like to participate, simply reply to this post saying 'i'm in!'. you can also tag a few users if you'd like! these users -- and others who stumble upon your post -- can then say some positive words about you, which you should note down. i hope this makes all of us more positive and that it brightens up everyone's day!! hope you all have a great rest of week :)'
@windflowers do you mean a forum thread for each user?
@fluffyUnicorns84
no, sorry; i apologies if that wasn't clear! what i meant was people could reply to the post in the same thread, and then others could reply to their replies, if that makes sense? like right now, i'm replying to your reply but we're on the same thread.
sorry for the confusion!
Thank you
