During the one year anniversary

I don't come here very often but I need to.

This past Saturday was the one year anniversary of my dad's passing.  However, I have not just grieving the anniversary but I am also grieving other things

1. I pretty much went no contact with my family to protect me peace.  The big one is that I was treated like the black sheep.  They also seem to leave me at the bottom of their list because I am autistic and have other mental health issues.

- Neither my mom or sisters wrote me a letter while me was in hospice.  Instead, I found out through the grapevine when my best friend when he found the news on sister's social media page

-They had a distante cousin try and reach out but I ignored her because she never took much interest

-When he died, my family didn't reach out. Rather,  I found out through my best friend

Meanwhile, I got left out of a birthday party by someone who said she was my friend.   However, she made it clear that I was a lesser priority

- When I called them out, they have been very cold and dismissive.

@Summershy

I've missed you, good to see you 🤗🩷

I'm sorry you've been grieving your dad.

Feeling like the black sheep is so painful and isolating.

But you deserve to be able to protect your own peace 🩵

I'm so sorry to hear this. You deserve real kinship and support, to feel comforted around your loss and helped in your need, celebrated in your accomplishments. I relate. It's very difficult. All I can say is: stay strong and that you matter. Find joy in the things that bring you joy, regardless of what others might say and perhaps in any way that you can, keep reaching out to communities that understand. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

We're here for you. It's okay to cry. ❤️ This too shall pass, and it's okay to be sad. Their actions don't determine your character or your future. Take it slow, one step at a time, and try to be good to yourself. That's just my advice, but I mean it wholeheartedly. Wishing you well.
