Navigating loneliness while grieving

Hi everyone! Those of us who have experienced grief know that loneliness comes with it. Whether through our need to process it alone or from lack of a support system. Here are some ways you can combat loneliness:

  • Share your story: In vulnerability, we find solace. You can share your story in spaces like this sub-community!
  • Find your tribe, your community who speaks the language of loss.
  • Try not to push your loved ones away but instead communicate your needs.
  • Grief isolates, but it doesn't diminish your resilience. Remember the fire within, the one that carried you this far.
  • When words fail, art speaks. Paint, write, sing - let your soul find voice where your tongue falters.

You are not alone even when it feels like it!

How did you navigate loneliness when experiencing grief?

@Hope This is where I struggle the most. I have no family to share with and no friends outside of Cups. It's hard to share here because I hear - I hope it gets better and I'm not sure how that's supposed to happen. The people that were in my father's life - they grieve him on a level different from my own. He was actively IN their daily lives. I got a couple texts here and there and the occasional phone call if he needed or wanted something. I'm not even sure if I'm really grieving him - idk it was a complicated relationship with complicated emotions involved

I grieve my dog - I know some people say it's just a dog - get another one but she was my family. She was there when no one else was
