The stages of grief

Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. Interestingly the Kubler Ross model or 5 stages of grief was actually for patients with terminal illnesses, and it's not related to grief. In grief and loss counselling this model is not used as grief is not really stage based, it's more of a cycle. Grief and loss counselling uses more contemporary approaches such as the Dual Process Model.
