Death of son
Just heartbroken:(. My 44; yr old son died suddenly at work a year ago. Can seem to heal from the grief and pain…… can anyone relate or share support . Some days I just sit and feel so lost. His mother died when he was 2 , so I was a Mr Mom to him for many year. We had a warm relationship and loved each other dearly…… thanks
@pgreen6840 Hi. I lost my 14-year-old daughter approximately 17 months ago to suicide, so I can definitely relate. It's okay to feel lost and heartbroken without them, but we just have to know how to keep going. My counselor taught me that it isn't about "getting over" the grief, but learning to live with it, and walk beside it. We will always grieve for our children, because the natural order of things is that we are supposed to go first, not them. You just have to make sure that you continue to take care of yourself and not let the grief overcome you. Thinking of you.

Hi. My name is Kristy and I’m one of the forum supporters on the grief & loss subcommunity. I wanted to let you know that you aren’t alone. I lost my 2 year old daughter 19 years ago. The pain has lessened with time, but I still struggle with the loss of my daughter. Everything that you feel is completely normal. I hope that you will join us for some of our group support chats the last Wed of each month.
