Hello, lovely grief and loss support community! Welcome to our weekly check-in.
How are we all doing? I hope that the week is being gentle to you and you find time to take care of yourselves.
This coming week is fathers day. Its hard when everyone else makes calls back home, talking about getting gifts, and knowing that you won't be doing that this year. It's always hard having to verbalize it. It never comes out right. The words still feel so wrong and uncomfortable. These days are just another reminder. Another day that's hard, that grief decides to be extra big. Know you are not alone these days, and it's okie to feel not okie. But if you are struggling please reach out for help. You are worthy of support and love, and have a bright future ahead, there are people that care. Sending love your way.
Whatever you are feeling, it's welcomed and valid here. You are worthy and deserving of support. I am always here for you and you are not alone. Please reach out if you need anything at all, You are loved and cared about truly. I wish you all an amazing week ahead. <3

2 for me holidays my oma birthday and at random times. I get really sad.

I totally agree grief comes in waves, and can pop up at unexpected times. It nvolves a wide range of emotions, and I think all of that are normal. Holidays and birthdays are tough. there that empty space and seat at the table, constant reminders of them. you are not alone

@Tinywhisper11 I'm doing ok this week, I've been actually trying to think Joshua would be 14 next month and I have no clue what to buy him for his birthday🤔🤔 any suggestions would be great

@Tinywhisper11 Hello tiny, it's good to hear that this week finds you better. Now, I like to think gift ideas are something of a speciality of mine - I used to be on another internet forum where we did this sort of thing all the time, so I got pretty good at it. So may I suggest naming a star after Joshua? There are websites where you can nominate one, or even a binary/twin star. Anyway if that's a non-starter, let me know and I'll rummage the back of my cortex a bit more for ideas.
