Grief and Loss Support Check-in
December 27 ~ January 3 2026
(its crazy writing 2026)
Hello, lovely grief and loss support community! Welcome to our weekly check-in.
How are we all doing? I hope that the week is being gentle to you and you find time to take care of yourselves. Wanted to take a moment to give you all space to be and checkin. It's not an easy time of year, that's for sure. This year has been full of ups and downs and at times mostly downs. But you are so close to rounding out this year. I can not stress this enough, this time of year can be especially hard so please reach out. There is no timeline for grief, there is no right or wrong way to grieve, you are not a burden, and you deserve support. You do not need to go through this alone.
Whatever you are feeling, it's welcomed and valid here. You are worthy and deserving of support. I am always here for you and you are not alone. Please reach out if you need anything at all, You are loved and cared about truly. I wish you all an amazing week ahead. <3

My grief was hard on Christmas day, my first Christmas without a dear friend, he died suddenly during the year, after a tragic quad accident. It was tough after spending last year together, putting flowers on a grave. It felt surreal, unfair, scary how things can change so much and without warning 🥺💚
@Amanda84
hey amanda, thanks for joining our checkin this week
sounds like it was a heavy day, its crazy how much can change in a year. Firsts everythings are always so tough, hope you been gentle with self these past couple days. your friend sounds like a lovely person who you care deeply about, you not alone
@CaringEzra
Thank you 💚
Hi to all members of this community. In response to the check in questions, I'm struggling in my grief process on a couple of ways. I'm grieving the loss of the sense of who I was before severe depression hit and also actively grieving as I watch my Uncle in his transition process. He has been like a father to me and seeing him suffer is really hard. I'm managing to keep my head above water by reaching out to friends and family although as a family we are grieving together in a sense. The holidays are also really hard as it is a time of bittersweetness being grateful for who is in my life now and missing those I have lost like my Mom and Grandmothers. There is just a deep ache that is persistent.
