Grieving loss of pet
Why do I feel so empty and numbness with the thought of losing such a gorgeous animal 😪. This has been a shock and fright towards , my little buddy has gone and won't be coming back anymore 💔, feel so heartbroken and upset.
This is a very raw subject to talk about. 👄 I feel crap and uneasy with this now. I feel like grief hits different when you are older than younger 😕😭😭 wish it was me instead of the doggy 🐕.

Im sorry for your loss. Pets are such a big part of our lives, it really is a big shock when they are gone. And he sounds like he was such a gorgeous wonderfully doggy. You loved him and that made his life so much better. Thank you for giving him a caring home.

I just read this and I know this feeling of grief. Our pets are so very special to us. I stumbled upon your passage because I just wrote a love letter to my new-ish dog, and recalled that I had posted here in the grief support when our last dog died. I was heartbroken, like you. I do hope gradually you’re able to process your feelings and feel better. My story is about the joy of a newish dog, so I will post it in the Reading and Writing forum.
I understand what it’s like to loose a pet and also something that is like a family member. It hurts more than anything or anyone could imagine but you have to just remember the good times and it will help you get through this. As time goes by you will not forget anything about your pet but you will heal and make new memories.
