@stuckinwhatifs Hope your week went okay. So, you can't let go even though you know it's hopeless and you don't know what to do. Step one is let yourself vent and grieve- write in a journal, write poetry, write stories, make art, sing. Dig deep into the tangled emotions you have around this person and yourself. Step two is build yourself up- you are your own person. You can survive without this other person. What other people can you go to in your life to support you? Step three is distraction- you've vented and you've tried to build yourself up with supportive people. But, the thoughts are probably still going to be there. You've got to redirect yourself to move on. Think about hobbies, getting lost in stories, volunteering, sports, good food, exercise work and routine. The thoughts of this other person might still haunt you, but hopefully they won't be as loud when you've already addressed them and built a busy and supported life around yourself.

@stuckinwhatifs I'm going through the same right now. My husband told me he wanted a divorce a week before xmas and our anniversary (which is New Years Eve). He has completely blocked me and moved out. Additionally, he posted things on FB that defamed my character by calling me a drug addict ( i was years ago) There is alot of history to go along with this, but every night I cry myself to sleep but listen to subliminal meditations. Additionally,  i watch a TON of YouTube videos on learning to detach, getting over heartbreak, letting go and moving on, embracing being alone, how silence is power...it has helped me tremendously.  I feel my friends and family are sick of me talking about this constantly. I journal every thought I have regarding my marriage. That helps by releasing anger and bitterness. I "yell and scream and curse" on paper as if the journal were him.
