Memory lane

As a little girl I remember sitting in the passenger seat of my grandmas blue van, I could barely see over the dashboard, we pulled into a whataburger late at night and she ordered some food. It was very early in the morning definitely after 3 am…I’m not sure what we were doing and I’d ask if her I could but I can’t now. She drove me to my house after and laid with me, probably until I fell asleep. That’s one out of a lot of memories I had with her.

She’s gone now, and all I hold is memories. I’ll miss her for the rest of my life.

@Relator16 I wonder, maybe it doesn't matter what in particular the two of you had been doing that night, but what matters is the fact she was there with you, caring for you.  And you can treasure all those memories you have of her?

That memory is so gentle, I can feel the love in it.  I’m really sorry she’s gone. Holding onto moments like that is so bittersweet, but they’re proof of how deeply she loved you. It makes sense you’ll miss her for the rest of your life.
