My Grandma
Almost 3 years ago I lost my grandma on my dads side, I miss her so much and I started thinking about her a lot lately. I honestly don’t know how’d she feel about things like my bisexuality but I still loved her a lot even if she did have her flaws, I hope she’s in a better place now and I hope I’ll one day be able to see her again. I know she was basically used as a test dummy because she died of a very rare strain of cancer and that just makes me so mad to know, she didn’t even die trying to be saved, she died treated as an object, which is so horrible, she put up a fight for about 4 years before her death, I honestly just feel sick knowing it was 4 years treated as less than human
So sorry.... It's heartbreaking to hear about the circumstances surrounding your grandmother's passing, and it's understandable that you feel anger and sadness about it.
Losing someone we love is never easy, and it's completely natural to miss her and think about her often. Love is unconditional and transcends any differences or flaws. Your love for her was genuine, and that's what matters.
Unfortunately, we can't change the past, but it's comforting to hold onto the hope that your grandma is in a better place now. Allow yourself to grieve and honor her memory in your own unique way.
Sending you virtual hugs and positive vibes. Take care of yourself :)
Thank you, I’m feeling better today though still upset, I do believe she’s happy wherever she is now, all of this is a lot to think of but it does calm me to know she’s at least not suffering as a test subject anymore, I feel like I see her in my dreams sometimes and while it’s mostly sad dreams I do believe she’s watching over me and protecting me, especially since that’s the only way I think I could’ve been able to get out of some of the situations I’ve been as safely as I have
@patientsky1754 I had a good long cry about this and thought out loud to myself about how I miss her, it calmed me down a bit and helped me accept it a bit more, I still miss her and wish she could be here to see me now but I know that the memories I have of her are wroth something. I’m still sad and crying but it has put me more at ease about this and a lot of things, it’s helping me keep going knowing how much she cared about me.
@BigSadGirl
Sometimes, allowing ourselves to fully feel and process our emotions can bring a sense of relief and acceptance. Cherishing the memories you have of her is a beautiful way to keep her spirit alive and honor her love for you.
Grief is a journey. It's okay to have moments of sadness and to continue to grieve in your own way and at your own pace. The love and care your grandmother had for you will always be a part of you, and that can be a source of strength as you navigate through life.
