Not fully grieved yet

Hello all, so I lost my granny a year ago on the 20th and it’s been a very very hard year but just recently with the anniversary coming up I am feeling very ( not sure how to word it) emotional but I feel with my adhd only being diagnosed in feb that I never really fully grieved. Even at the cremation nothing. I am aware she has gone and that she’s at the grave yard but not anything else.

Is this normal ? I feel so alone In this and it’s beginning to hurt inside, no one to talk to anout it that isn’t family. So really I’ve come for a bit of suppprt or someone to just chat with.

Thank you all.

@Kayles96 Hello! I lost two of the people I deeply loved and admired over the past two years. While outwardly I remained calm, I really struggled to come to terms internally. However, over a period of time, I learned the value of transience and shifted from mourning to celebrating all the experiences and memories based on my association with them. You may want to try that as well and thing of all the things you did together.

I think each of us react to grief in our own way and there are no standard protocols. I do hope you find peace and embrace all the good memories that flow from the time you spent together.

Take care and happy to chat if that helps.
