Please help!
I lost my grandpa yesterday, this is my first loss I’ve had to deal with. I’m not doing well at all. This is my dad’s second parent he has lost and I feel so bad for him. My grandpa and I had a special bond, I am grateful to have spent 20 years with him, but I can’t help but to feel so depressed. I am having horrible thoughts. I think about upcoming holidays how sad we all are going to be, how he won’t be at my future wedding, won’t be there at my college graduation next years, how I won’t get to joke around or hug him anymore. It all just happend so fast. I can barely eat, I don’t wanna get out of bed, I don’t wanna be happy, I wanna just cry all day, I just wanna rot away. Life doesn’t feel real. I don’t wanna go on. I know he wouldn’t want me to feel this way but I do.

I am sorry about your loss. I know that grief is a very difficult period of our lives.
But I think the very important matter is how we answer to some questions: What happens to a person when he or she dies? Is death really the end to everything? Or more like moving out from here and moving in to somewhere else?
Some of our loved ones may pass away some day, before we do. They perish in the material or bodily meaning. But could we believe they are some way still here? Looking at us, being proud of us, watching, caring and having their fingers crossed for us?
How would you like the idea to look to the sky and:
- wink at your grandpa when your graduate,
- send him a big smile when you are getting married,
- think about the jokes he would say in some situations,
- just talk to him anytime you need him, even if he might be unable to answer right now?

And while your loss is still very recent, please, just let yourself to feel sad...
