@countrygirl9988

I remember how lost I felt when my Dad passed away. I wrote poems and tried to come to terms with it, but it was very difficult. I lost a lot of weight right afterwards out of fear for my health. I would call his phone so that I could keep hearing his voice on the answering machine. I remember he said

This is me, this will always be me, if this is you, leave a message.

He didn't apologize for anything, he was ok with who he was. I learned a lot from my dad.

I am so sorry you recently lost your dad, I know how hard this can be to get used too. Keep your chin up and try to celebrate his life rather than mourning his passing. Remember how proud he is of you!

My sincerest condolences

Blessings, Day

@juliak1968 the loss of a parent is one no one can prepare themselves for. It's a completely different form of loss that hits you in waves as you mourn. When I lost my mum, I realised that it is so important to let yourself feel the pain that your body needs to feel. no one can tell you how you should move past this, that is up tot you whenever you feel ready. I'm always here if you want to talk about it any more.

I'm really sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. It's completely understandable that you're still in denial and finding it difficult to grieve. Losing a loved one is never easy, and the pain can linger for a long time. It's important to give yourself permission to feel and process your emotions at your own pace. Moving forward from grief is a personal journey, and it can take time. Surrounding yourself with a support system of friends and family who can offer understanding and comfort can be helpful. Additionally, seeking professional help from a therapist or grief counselor can provide guidance and support as you navigate through this difficult time. Remember to take care of yourself and allow yourself to grieve in your own way.

@countrygirl9988

I can relate with this on so many levels. My mom passed when I was 14 on August 18, 2021.

September 4th, 4 days before my birthday and the first day of school I buried my mom. September 14, 2023 my Grandmother passed.

Sometimes I feel the sadness and pain - especially when looking at photos or seeing things that remind me of them. Sometimes I don't. But I have learned that grieving is different for everyone and will not look the same. Sometimes it can be hard to tell someone is grieving just because of that very fact.

With that I say, I'm sorry for your loss and I wish you peace of your grief journey.
