Grief related to loss of pets

I lost a rescued kitten on 1st of January. My year started badly. I was just trying to compose myself that another animal life needs help. A stray dog with her 8 puppies. There is no shelter house to rely on. All in vain. I cannot afford to help myself that much let alone anyone else, but that situation is catastrophic for my mental health. I want to help them, but how?

I fell ill today. I’m bed ridden with jitters, tight chest with nausea. It’s as if there is doomsday on its own. It’s all because I’m unable to help my animal friends.

I want to talk to someone who can understand this situation.

@Themystique1 Hello Themystique it sounds like you're feeling a lot of pressure right now because of your desire to help your animals but also the roadblocks preventing you from doing so. I understand that you probably feel really helpless right now unable to do anything. There are many active listeners you can choose from browse listeners or request one to talk to we're here for you.

@Themystique1 I'm so sorry to hear about the kitten. Its never easy when we lose an animal friend. Oh gosh that would be hard to say no to a dog and all of her pups. I know alot of rescues and shelters are over flowing with surrendered and stray pets right now. So many people are struggling to make ends meet. Would a shelter be willing to donate food to you for the dogs? Maybe if you explain the situation to them - they might be willing to spare alittle?

I hope you're feeling a little better but I know it can hard after losing an furry friend and knowing so many others need your help. I think it's really great that you're trying to help them :)
