Since many of us are focusing on nutrition and healthy eating, we thought it would be great to start an ongoing thread where we can share recipes and ideas to aid us in our dietary goals.

Here are some suggestions:

  • Your favorite recipes: Go-to meals, healthy snacks, or low-energy prep ideas.
  • Tips and tricks: Meal prep hacks, budget-friendly grocery advice, or how you stay on track with your S.M.A.R.T. goals.
  • Small wins: Did you try a new food or meet a certain mini goal? Celebrate it here!

Remember that "Healthy" looks completely different for everyone. Let's continue to keep this space supportive and mindful of our different dietary needs and relationships with food.

I'm having treatment tomorrow and I know I won't want anything hot despite the snow. So sushi salad.

Better known as a one bowl, but I made this up before I had heard of them.

I'll cook some sticky rice in the morning so it can cool and then I toss in everything I like in my sushi. I do mine vegetarian or with chicken due to allergies. Peppers, cucumber, avocado, tofu, carrots and then add a bit of greek yogurt plus so soy sauce with ginger and wasabi (or horseradish, which is cheaper and most wasabi here is just colored horseradish). Why Greek yogurt? I'm not sure what's in some veggie sushi rolls but a bit of Greek yogurt gave the same general favour/mouth feel. Mayonnaise, regular yogurt or sour cream would work too.

@AffyAvo

love this idea we think the Greek yogurt  best one for it as also adds protein  to the bowl as can not have soy so we leave out some of it but we here found a soy sauce  call no soy it taste  like soy sauce too this idea also good due to the veggies'  in it and well we all need them

thank you for posting this what you be eating
