@Heather I have a question in relation to this thread.
It says mod leaders should never be checking up on moderators from guest accounts. However I have been given reports from mod leaders who have been participating in the chat from guest accountsand gave me uninvited feedback based on this.I also re call being told mod leaders had member accounts to get 'a feel for the room'.
Is there a clause in this that allows mod leaders to quality check moderatorsifthey're doing it 'unofficially'? What explanation is there for this?
@Chrissy - I'm unsure which part of the post you're referring to here. As part of their role, Mod Leaders may also access the rooms from a guest account in order to monitor safety and morale. If during one of these checks a moderator is seen behaving inappropriately, one of us would need to reach out and discuss that confidentially with the person involved.

This says that you're trying to get an idea of what the room is like in general, without targeting. Room morale is not down to an individual but down to all participants and if there is a morale issue that should be discussed either with all moderators or all participants. If a moderator is going to be reviewed or assessed, they should have knowledge of this. If a mod leader hangs around long enough that they see a moderator in action that sounds pretty conflicting to your forum post.
Also, I suppose I should have phrased this within the question in my first post:
Here you say: 'Wewill notspend time in the rooms as guests, hanging out, having conversations, building relationships..' and 'If we are spending time chatting in anyof the 7 Cups chat rooms, it is always as ourselves under our listener names.'

To sum into a question: Are these rules newly introduced and will mod leaders now be banned from watching the rooms and participating from a member account, as well as creating secondary listener accounts(also note this is against community guidelines), or are the rules not enforced?
Chrissy - mentors and mod leaders have behavior guidelines, which they receive upon entering their role. We do not "ban" people who violate them, but rather use a warning system to give feedback and encourage personal growth. No secondary accounts are created, only guest accounts, and only in the instances mentioned above.
