Series 1: How to change Support room environment when you present there...........Few handful tricks.....................

Hello all of my newly joined chat room moderators

At first I want to wish all of you for your beautiful, memorable journey here.

All of we are already know that Chat room moderation is quite hard and needs very good knowledge of rules,trainings. But today I am not telling you any rules or give you suggestion .Just share my few tricks to change the room environment when I am present at group support rooms.

Trick-1

Reading:

This is very good habbit for a chat room moderator. When ever I entered at the room at first few min always I tried to read previous messages of members to understand what they want to share. more you read messages more you know each members mind. This will really help me to understand the room temp.

If it is hot then I used some cold water to keep the temp low

Trick-2

Adoptation

Very unfamiliar word for Chat Room Moderators. But this word has very much significance. Now I tell you how. When ever we entere at any chat rooms we have fixed mind setup that this room is bad or that room is good. As a result when start interacting with members we cant understand their mentality or just ignore their mental state. As a result we end that with fight or give warning or most badly we mute them. But if we enter with blank mind then we can adopt the enviroment of the room. We can talk like them (obiviously under mod guidelines). After sometime they will definitely like you. We can understand their emotions,loneliness etc.

Trick 3:

Spent time

More you spent time with the room member more you get a chance to win their heart. That does not mean you come at room welcome everyone and stay silent, or play games. or lead discussion. nope. we need to talk with them in any topic. May be some will attack you but dont give up. with time definitely they will accept you.

One thing remeber always time heals everything. May be sometime support rooms you feel alone/attacked but dont give up just keep patience.

So this are few tricks which I always applied. hope this tricks help you all to change roome environment.
