Different Language Group Chatrooms
I know there have been popups in other languages in the past. Based on at least one of the rooms though, it seems like there is a pretty strong want for regular chats that don't occur in English. I think Hindi is the main one although those speaking in other languages are the ones to check in with about this.
If there's the mod support for this, is it possible to have regular popups?
It may need to wait until people settle into roles with the changes at Group Support, but hopefully this is something that can be done.
those are still possible if there is at least one mod present speaking this language, they have to request the Cultural Connection room to be open for them, yes, it is still available for popups discussion. those rooms (the teen and adult one) are both part of the Around the world subcommunity which has no support team leader for any age group so it would be challenging to get mods there? and global mods are limited in the number of discussions they may do outside their 3 main subcommunity/rooms.
the exception is Indian Community Room which has only an adult popup room and linked to Namaste India subcommunity. and not around the world .

@TortueDesBois Yes, I think this is the one that's needed. The community can determine their rules regarding languages, but I think there's demand for more than just English currently.
@AffyAvo yes the rule was used to have at least one mod who speak the language. I will guess its still the same but people not aware we have this room and possibly. And no official team for it once you are needed be on teams for lead discussion (that is the only real thing that changed). It would be good to put a team in place for other languages. There is definitely a need and we have people able to answer this demand (mods speaking other languages). Language is rule specify "for moderation purpose, use English". So presence of mods speaking other languages fix it without breaking the rule.

Hey there!
I have been taking the lead on the Around the World Subcommunity for the last few months. One of my ideas is definitely to incorporate a new team related on those who sign up for the group support team language. Though not yet approved I hope that this could be starting something soon! Will need to talk to group support Ambassadors more ❤️
