Energy Drinks
Energy drinks have been increasing in popularity more and more these days. However, they have been linked to all sorts of negative side effects and illnesses.
After consuming ONE energy drink:
- Your heart rate increases.
- Raises stress levels.
- Increase in blood pressure (could also thicken the blood).
There's been several cases described of people that have gone into cardiac arrest after consuming more than one energy beverage, and when they've done sort of further analysis on these individuals, they haven't been able to find anything abnormal other than the very high levels of caffeine and taurine in the toxicology. The mix of caffeine with other ingredients included in energy drinks can have a major impact on the arteries of the heart, causing the arteries of the heart to lock up. As a result, go into cardiac arrest.

New Worries About Energy Drinks
Deaths Linked to Energy Drinks
The links that are mentioned above go into more detail and mention the amount of mg for each serving. I personally have tried a energy drink before and not only did it taste awful, it made me feel really odd after. My anxiety, stress level, and heart rate increased significantly. I don't recommend these drinks. Plain old coffee is just fine with me! 😊☕
@essdee I agree w/ you. Kids have also found recreational use for the energy drinks as well by mixing cough syrup, alcohol, and the energy drinks together.
@TransAm85 oh wow, that's insane! Those energy drinks are poison on their own! They're not even safe for adults, let alone a child.
@essdee
