What do you miss most about being in a relationship?
What are you working on to keep yourself together in body and mind, and spirit if that's what you believe in?
What is at least one positive about being single?
What is a challenge regarding the situation?
What would you tell your inner child about what you're going though?
What are some resources you recommend?
General Rules
- put self care first
- fun encouraged and celebrated
- bring the real you
- positivity based
- principles before personality
I'll share that right now what I miss most is having someone to share saying 'good morning' and 'good night' with.
Some things I'm doing and have done for myself is work on myself inside and out; I'm back in school and also taking the First Thing's First course on here, meditating morning and evening, volunteering, decluttering, budgeting, reframing, enjoying hobbies and down time and utilizing my supports including a Finch App and groups such as dance, book clubs and more.
Something positive about being single is spending my time without compromises - being free and autonomous.
A challenge regarding the situation is having the type of personality (Mediator...see fall events to find yours.) that believes in and desires love very, very highly while only just barely seeing it as something that could happen to them.
I would tell my inner child that losing a person in ways other than death is still a loss to grieve, and that there are many different kinds of loss and ways to grieve and that everything will be okay, that I got them and love them.
Some resources I recommend are any local grief or support groups or online, art therapy and ice cream.

Being single makes me really sad but i know that being in bad company is worse.
Yes I've heard that.
Actually it was from off a fortune cookie fortune my ex and I found at our rental.
I'm sure doubting myself though as what I had wasn't necessarily bad, just deeply mediocre and irresponsible.
And I fear that now at this unmarketable age of decrepitude at 36 that it's simply impossible and too late to ever find someone for the right reasons.
