Find groups that interest you, that meet online:

Join them so you'll get new-event notifications
when you log-in to meet up

Then you'll start building groups of online friends fast
that meet regularly online
on topics you are passionate about!
If anyone is lonely or bored
or needs support where you actually talk to together
and interact like in real life but on zoom, then
- online groups can be an instant solution if you can find the appropriate group(s)
Tip to find even more groups you are interested in:

Kindred spirits tend to like similar topics, so
- First find a group you're interested in on meet up

Then after you join the group
look at the member's profiles
- See what other groups they belong to
- Then you might discover even more fun groups

looked at the meetup sites and didn't find anything within 50 miles of my place that was even remotely interested in. It is amazing how many of these groups are just people putting on seminars to sell you something.
Online meet ups have the advantage that:
- One can attend them using zoom or other link provided
- There are many more meet ups to pick from
compared to local on-site meet ups
- Online meet ups are much more convenient
