Does any one else experience restlessness during nights

During nights its tough for me to stay calm and still. I just want to do something...some work or something...No matter how hard i have worked in the day I never get tired during the nights...I just end up using internet or watching sitcoms but neither of them interest me..And my mind just wanders from one place to another ...

Does anyone else experience such a thing ??

Hey guys!

Oh gosh, I'm a terrible sleeper, I count myself lucky these days if I get 4 hours straight, that's a good sleep!! it's something I've struggled with these past couple of years, but then again, life hasn't been particularly kind and has been quite stressful, however, I have done a little bit of reading on this subject, so I'll share with you guys some tips, which you may find useful.....

During the day!!

> Always eat breakfast within 30 mins of waking, this kick starts your system for the day.
>Keep your body well hydrated, and I don't mean loads of cups of caffeine related drinks, especially during the evening, but our bodies are made up of 60% water, so it requires plenty of top ups during the day.
> Try to go to bed and wake up the same time each day, this will help your body clock establish a routine of steady sleep patterns
>Try not to nap during the day
> Expose yourself to natural daylight as often as you can

During the evening!!

>Avoid caffeine drinks, alcohol and nicotine substances, as these are stimulants
>Avoid eating heavy meals
>Turn off electronic devices, anything with bright screens, and dim the lights (at least an hour before bed, preferably 2)
> Keep the room cool, and lighting low
>Keep the noise down

You could also try and establish some bedtime rituals, light reading in a quite part of your home, a warm bath, scented candles, listen to soft music, do some light stretchers, preparing for your day ahead, or, whatever else you enjoy doing to wind down and relax.

Good luck guys 🙂
Sleep peacefully 😴😴 (I hope)
