Some of the behaviours to inculcate before sleeping are as follows:
Not using the gadgets/digital devices 1 or 2 hours before sleep,
Eating a light dinner,
Reflecting your day , what went well and what didn't go well, how steps are you going to take to improve the next day to make your day better?( Maintaining a journal where you can record your thoughts)
Taking a walk.
@ScorpiaD Creating a consistent sleep routine has been one of the most powerful tools I've found to improve both my mental and physical health. I've learned that prioritizing sleep is key not for just feeling rested, but for bolstering a sense of balance and well being in all areas of my life. Here's how I've approached it with a little compassion for myself along the way. First, I try to go to bed and wake up the same time each day, even on weekends. It took me some time to adjust, but I noticed that when I stick to a consistent schedule, my body naturally falls into a rhythm, and I wake up feeling more refreshed. To support this, I create a calming bedtime routine that signals to my body it's time to wind down. I limit screen time an hour before bed, which was hard at first but it made a noticeable difference. Instead of scrolling through my phone, I'll read a book or listen to calming music., I'll even do a quick relaxation or breathing exercise to ease any tension for the day. As we're creating a supportive sleep environment I, I focus on keeping my room quiet, cool, and dark. I make sure my bedding is comfortable, and I found the small things dash like using soft, breathable sheets can make a huge difference. I also try to keep my space clutter free as as tidy room helps clear my mind before bed. Gratitude also plays a part in my sleep routine. A moment to reflect on something I'm thankful for before I go to sleep. It's a simple practice, but it helps me end my day with a sense of peace. Finally, I remind myself that it's OK to have off nights in that I don't have to be perfect. Establishing a consistent sleep routine takes time, and it's important to be kind to myself through this process. I hope this helps you create your own supportive routine, and remember every step toward a better night's sleep is a step towards improved overall health. All doing our best, and that's something to be proud of.
