Working Around Naps
hey everybody!
Naps are awesome and they definitely have the ability to make you feel rested after a long day or tired day. However, they can also have the opposite effect by making you feel groggy and ruin your sleep schedule. How do you guys balance and utilize naps to work around this?
For me I limit my naps to 1 hour or less to prevent deep sleep from coming in.

I guess it would depend on the situation... or the time I had available to me to do so.
When I worked Full-time AND taught Zumba classes afterwards, that made for BOTH a physically and mentally long and exhausting day with only 45 minutes between both....
But I was able to fix my work schedule at the time to come into work earlier, so I could leave earlier for home. Once I did that, I was able to have at least an 60 to 90 minutes between both. Which allowed me to catch a 30 minute cat-nap. Which made things so much better in being able to just come home, relax, grab a quick nap, then a quick bite and then head to my Zumba class to teach. It surely made things feel alot better physically once I was able to re-arrange things.
And I think thats what it comes down to.... finding a way to organize your day and whatever you may have going on in your life. And if you find that things are over-crowding, then find a way to re-arrange things. So that you dont' feel so sluggish, OR, that you do have a bit of time to squeeze in that nap if needed!

Wow Ocean! Thanks for sharing all that. I totally agree with you that scheduling is so important in terms of utilizing naps or not. With proper timing and scheduling I think naps can be a great way to revitalize some energy back into your day! Often times mistiming it leads to more negative effects.
