SO!!...... With that being said, HOW IS EVERYONE DOING?!!! How do you feel?.... How has the Holiday Season been going for you?.... How have you been doing with your own personal goals for yourself?..... or, simply just let us know how you have been over the course of the week! We want to hear from you!
Yesterday was a good day. I danced for an hour.
@Doglover1991
Well it's no surprise that I love that!
Dancing is great exercise and so much fun.
@DancingAlong Yes it is!! I love dancing! It doesn't even feel like exercise when I'm doing it! :)
Things have been going well. There's only been one week where I missed my goals by one day. I've been reading and reading and reading and reading...three books this week. So on Sunday, I didn't even think about the vitamin and exercise until it was already Monday (after midnight).
I also somehow messed up my streak here at 7 Cups. That's what happens when I get engrossed in books. LOL!
I am enjoying the challenge. It's helped me establish a routine of taking a vitamin and helped me meet my exercise goal that I set with Lisa (my health coach nurse from my insurance company).
Back on track today (Monday).
@BridgetAileen
Reading so many books is fantastic! It sounds like you love reading, so taking a day of self care to read is great
. Glad to hear you are enjoing the challenge and that you are back on track today!
@DancingAlong, I do indeed love reading! I've recently discovered that my public library system has book clubs! Wow! There are about 11 for adults that meet once a month. Then they have some for teens and older elementary/middle school students, too. And they have adult coloring groups, craft activities for children, teens, adults, families...and meditation...and and and! And I thought CD audio books and audio books online and on things like Audible were great. Well, they have these audio books called Playaways. A playaway is a little device thingy much like an ipod. You stick a AAA battery in it, plug in your earphones, and off you go. You can carry it around, stick it in your pocket, use the buttons that start, stop, pause, go back, jump forward, and all that good stuff. This is just great since I don't have Audible.
Reading is not only something I've always enjoyed, but it is also...just as you said...a form of self-care for me. Even when I feel like doing nothing else (and don't) because i'm so depressed, I will read. I love doing the GoodReads reading challeng every year. Reading is part of my soul.
I've been better about eating healthy this month and this past week I've been getting to the gym more.
But mostly I'm kinda ready to be done with the holidays. Everything is so hectic. But i know it'll be really nice to be with family.
@GracefullyHear, I'm ready for the holidays to be behind us, too. The best times during the whole holiday season are the days I get to spend with my family. That's two days out of the whole shebang. LOL!
I'm glad the challenge has helped you, too. Something like this is really great about reminding me to keep on track...and even start new routines...during a time of year that makes it hard to remember to do those things.
