**This past week has gone by pretty fast.... I have found myself realizing just how fast this month is already going by, and I'm not all that happy with it. It seems like the winter months last so long, and when Summer-time finally arrives, it just seems so short.. frown I have pretty much been sticking with my plans of eating well, workouts, getting more "swimming" in when I can, & increasing my water etc..... I do find though that the nicer, warmer weather surely improves so many things...... Anxiety Levels, over-all mood, places, things around me, and so much more .... and Its a great feeling.~

**This past week was a little "Nerve-wracking".... On Tuesday, I taught my "Second"-only POUND Fitness class... So I decided to 'Ramp' up my playlist this week, and really get everyone "working", well, I arrived at the Studio, and was all ready and in the mood to "knock out this class" and do a great job. People started showing up etc.... well, I was minutes away from starting my class, and in walks my (for lack of better term) "My Mentor"... This person is the one who leads the "Bi-Monthly" Pound class in our area (in a huge space, where well up to 100 followers/participants each class)..., and who turned me on to POUND. She knew I was getting ready to start teaching and all, but I never really stated when or where etc.... and BAM, In she came!.. I think my "Mouth and Heart" both dropped to my feet at the same time. I'm sure some of you have "Been there"... Where you felt like there was a chance you'd be "Critiqued"... And not only did "She" come but brought her WHOLE ENTIRE "ENTEROUGE" her "POUND POSSE" (all of the ones that travel with her and go to her classes)!~surprise ....She really is an Awesome person... but ,I started to let "Fear and Doubt" creep in that I wasn't going to be able to do a good job with this class after seeing all of them. It didn't help they stood directly in front of me either~..... But in the end, prayerfully, I made it through. Only a few "minor" mistakes, (which can happen to anyone) For instance I dropped one of my sticks, and messed up slightly on "one" choreo out of 13 songs. But then I let that continue to stay with me over the past several days and play with my head. I don't like feeling that way, "Doubting myself" and then harboring those feelings for a long time afterwards..... And that is something that I am continuing to work on. On a "Positive" note however, I had an AMAZINGINGLY "FULL" Class of participants lol...Thats the bright-side. LOTS of Energy!

**Today My husband is going out of town, and I will have an entire day of Alone time with me and my "shadow" my "Pup". lol.... And my plans are to try to get alot of things done around the house that I've been putting off. (Like some "late" Spring cleaning") blush and then hopefully relax.

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND ALL!~

Heya! Yeah, summer goes by way too fast and winter feels like a drag... I wonder why- does the brightness and cheeriness change our perspective on length and time?!

Sounds like youre on an amazon roll at the moment, Ocean! Good on ya! Yeah, the weather really can impact us, our moods and our motivation a lot.

Oh my gosh, the beginning of your story sounds so intimidating and scary!!! :o but Im so proud that you made it through! And yes, you said it perfectly. Those minor mistakes can happen to anyone! And I dont think many people- if any- will remember the mistakes, because were all more focused on ourselves! I know if I was a participant in your class, Id be more worried about me messing up the entire class!!! Group workouts can be fun, as long as Im at the back row 🤣 plus, if people do remember mistakes, theyll forget it soon enough because theres so much more things going on in their life moving forwards! Im glad youre noticing those thoughts and proactively working on them- takes a lot of guts! Good work :)

Yesssssssh! Im so happy your classes so far seem to be working out amazingly- a full class on your second POUND class?! Thats amazing- keep it up! I hope more and more people in your local community learn about it and start attending- it sounds like so much fun.

Haha Spring cleaning- sounds like fun! :p I want to do some winter cleaning soon XD gotta get rid of house stuff. Hope you can relax, and enjoy time with your cute puppy! Have a great rest of the week! xx

Thanks Rebecca for putting it into more of a perspective for me..... I know we tend to be harder on ourselves than anyone else can be. And you're most likely right. I mean, its not like I think about any mistakes that others tend to make after leaving their class. In fact I try to smile and laugh it off, like, "oh well, it happens" (especially when trying to remember a dozen choreo or more) lol.....

I've always been that way though. Just tend to harbor things about myself for a long time... hard to "shake it off" and I fixate on all the "mistakes" that I should have avoided. And you're right, theres so many more things going on in our lives and in the world. I guess in my mind, if I "mess up" then I'm like, "Gosh, I hope they come back"! lol.... I don't want them to think that I mess up like that on a continual basis.

But thank you so much Rebecca for your continued support! I love your insight on things each week..... You always keep it really positive here for us all! Enjoy your week! Have a great one!

Heya, Ocean! Back for this weeks check-in again since Im procrastinating slightly!

Hmm, had two exams in one day- what an experience. Always intimidating when theyre your first ones, but I much prefer the set-up! Although having your phone on your table the entire time felt weird... and some drama! Someones phone was on loud and their alarm kept ringing, and it happened twice. I hope they got fined like the uni says in their policy, because she distracted everyone for 3-5 minutes. Thats 3-5 minutes thinking time and writing time gone! But eh, didnt really affect me too much because I didnt know much in that exam anyway HAHA sad reality. I hope I pass... there were also therapy dogs at uni that day- a golden retriever and a chocolate Labrador- both adult size. They were soooooo fluffy and definitely provided some much-needed stress relief haha. I have my last exam coming up next week! Thats the one Im procrastinating on at the moment, but I will start back after I post this! :p

Ive always said Ill exercise one day... well, guess what?! That one day came today!!! I randomly decided I wanted to exercise, so I grabbed my sport clothes and did it :D back to Pilates! I dont know how long this will continue for, but hopefully I manage to stay consistent. And now to tackle healthy eating... the thing I find for myself is that once I start exercising, healthy eating comes with it. But it doesnt happen the other way around XD

Since its winter for me, Im looking forward to warm bubble baths, hot tea and *possibly* hot chocolate or melted choc chip cookies- mmmmm, yum!)

Oh, and Im keen for uni holidays coming up the second I leave that exam room next week- yesssssssss!!! And Im going on a short overnight trip with a few friends in July, so Im a little excited for that. Im not that close to some of them, so it might take me a while to get excited for this trip. But for now, back to the books! Hope you have a good week ahead :) xx

@rebecca947

Hey there again Rebecca! Its so great to see you, even if only on check-in days! But so glad to always see you between your pretty busy schedule!

'Two" exams in one day?! That can be pretty over-whelming......and how "annoying" that someone else interrupted and disturbed things and the atmosphere with their noisy alarm! I'm sure that was quite the "distraction". frown ....Hopefully you were able to get back on track fast!? And yes, good vibes and positive thoughts to you that you will pass your exams! And good luck to you on your next exam! I'm sure that you will do great!

Also, that is really neat that they had "Therapy Dogs" there!!? Were they there for a specific person or reason? Like did they come with a specific person or were they for everyone?!... That is really unusual yet interesting. And I'm sure they were so beautiful!... Those are really pretty dog breeds.

And YAYYYY!!! You got to "Workout"! Good for you, Great Job!!! yes I know how challenging it can be to squeeze that in from day to day. But you were able to fit it in your schedule and thats great! I know how it can be as well to get back on track with eating healthy too, so just start small, and it will all start to come together once you are able to get past the busy times of your exam taking, and be able to focus on it more and stay more consistent in it!

warm bubble baths, hot tea and *possibly* hot chocolate or melted choc chip cookies- !!! That does sound REALLY Nice and yummy as well! lol... Thats almost a really great reason to want the winter season!! (But not enough for me to give up my summer months)! lololol........ I hope you truly enjoy it all!!!

And its great that you have a holiday coming up, and that you will be able to start to enjoy! I'm sure you are looking forward to it. And an overnight trip! How exciting... Where will you be going to?!! I'm sure you will have lots of fun once you get there.

Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going for you!!

@PoliteOcean

Haha Ill try to get back to being a FS and fulfilling that on here during my holidays if I can! Im getting more excited as time goes on (but more nervous too lol for the exam) so I can get back to Cups!

Yeah, I luckily got back on track with that exam, but I know a few were quite annoyed at the person haha Just turn it off! aka just admit you broke a rule...

Thank you for your positivity! The therapy dogs were there for uni students stress relief! And advertising their company! Yesssss they were amazingly cute!

Thank you! I worked out again this morning, and I hope I can keep it up for a long time to come. But its too early to speak now- only day 2 haha yeah, small steps! I tried diving straight back into healthy living sometime last year after stopping for a while, and that didnt end well haha so yeah, I think Im going to just listen to my body this time and do what feels good.

Noooooo I want to move every 6 months to the countries with summer 🤣 that would be so good.

The overnight trip Im going to is a place up north, near blowholes and beaches! Think were going on a hike too which is exciting. Getting in exercise even on a trip :D

I got in some exercise this week, and ate well except for last night. I have lost 3 pounds since school ended. It would be nice to fit into more clothes by August when I go back. I ended the school year with only a few pairs of pants that I could even wear. This summer is flying by for me. I have so many things I want to get done but there won't be enough time for everything. There are outdoor projects like the garden, and indoor projects like a basement area I want to clean up. I am milking my goats twice a day and not keeping up with using all the milk. I have 6 gallons in my fridge right now, after giving away 3 gallons yesterday. I basically need to make cheese every other day to keep up but that takes most of a day. I should be relaxing and enjoying my time off but instead feel harried and rushed all the time and guilty that I'm not getting things done. I have gone on a couple of long hikes plus classes etc. for my health, which is good, but I can take care of myself or my house/grounds but not both. I also have not been cooking much at all, and I would like to be doing that too. I do like to cook and when there are fresh veggies around it's the best time. I guess I am just feeling overwhelmed right now!

@SadMe70

Hey there Sad!... Sounds like you are really staying busy since school has let out for you.... Thats the thing about working for the school system. You can't wait for summer vacation, but then it seems like by the time you get out and have this whole summer ahead of you, it goes by so fast. But honestly I feel like once summer "officially" starts, then before you know it, its July 4th, then in the blink of an eye school starts again. It always felt like a continuous cycle. I would continue to plan all these things yet try to "SQUEEZE" them all in, and just never seemed to finish everything.

I know how that can be and feel..... It can be overwhelming to say the least. Because you feel like as much as you want "balance", that its hard to manage. Its almost like you have to choose "one or the other" (Enjoy the time off, OR... Get everything on your list done before starting back).... It was so challenging for me to balance those things, and It sounds like its quite similar for you as well.

I can't believe you have ALL THAT MILK!! lol... That is quite Alot! I surely don't know anything about animals or what it entails to take care of goats etc.... but am curious as to why you "Milk" them Twice a day? Was there a particular reason to do it? I know (if it were me, and the fact that I LOVE cheese) I'd probably be making way more of that! lol....

But I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling "hurried and rushed" and feelings of guilt.... Sounds like you need alot of "Down-Time" for yourself. Could you take just "ONE" week for yourself? To allow for simple relaxation, or a small trip somewhere to un-wind from it all? Even just a weekend maybe? I know for me, sometimes even something "over-night" has helped me a great deal!......It is really great however that you have managed to get hiking in a few times, as I know that is something you truly do enjoy doing. Perhaps even setting aside a weekend and just "cooking" (meal prep) Not because you have to, or need to, but just because its something you want to do, which is another thing you have stated that you want to do more of...... Like today, I have quite a few things to do, and its driving me crazy that I'm not doing them, but, I have not just "Sat" like this in along time... so I'm trying to make the most of it for today... Its the "little" things... because I know in the end, all that other stuff will be there waiting for me anyway....

I hope that you are able to find the balance that you desire to continue to get things done as well as enjoy the rest of your time off. Thank you so much for checking in this week and keeping us informed on how things have been for you.

I have been doing low carb, keto for about 40 days now. My notoriously lying bathroom scale showed me down into the next "10 lb" level. Hoping energy levels increase. Glucose levels are in acceptable levels most of the time, go away diabetes, don't need none of that shit!

Keeping up with exercise and healthy eating. Weekly checkin has helped keep on track. June is almost finished. Wish summer months were longer, but making the best of this time of year. Getting plenty of fresh air and swimming more often as weather is better. Flowers are in full bloom, which makes for a relaxing time. Would like to bottle this weather for the colder months. Enjoy your weekend.

I'm posting on the proper day for once! :)

This week has been a whirlwind that I don't really want to get into. But, I am doing well now. I actually have been exercising. I went for a run yesterday and still have time to go for one today, too, if I want to. I needed to go because I made plans to go on a run with a friend tomorrow, and I don't want to be totally out of shape! :P And, guess what, I actually signed up to go to a dance class! It's on Monday. And if I like it, there are others I can go to later throughout the summer. Yay! I am trying to honestly take care of myself and put the focus on that because I have seen recently how bad things can get when I don't take care of myself. I sometimes make myself do things that I know will be stressful or triggering for me because I feel like I have a responsibility to do them, like reading the news, hearing my mom talk about all her problems and letting them stress me out, going on trips which stress me out, even coming on 7 cups sometimes, reading books about trauma because I feel like I "have" to... no! I don't have to do any of these things. The people who care about me are the people who matter, and they truly want the best for me and want me to be a good, happy friend, big sister, daughter, etc. I can't be that if I am constantly stressing myself out to the point that I am incapacitated with flashbacks and see death as the only option. It's not! So I am really trying to take it easy on myself and do things that I truly love. I am also hopeful because I am starting a treatment program on Monday, and I really hope it'll actually work!! :)

Hey there Loving! Its so great to hear from you this week....

Wow, that is quite a check in.. Its so interesting to read this, It sounds you could've been talking about "me" to be honest.... I can really relate to what you are saying here. Its like taking a page from my own book. I'm glad that you were able to share all of this here with us.

I think its totally awesome that you have been getting back into "exercising" again!.. How great for you! I bet that helps you to feel much better as well. And how awesome about the upcoming Dance class!! I LOVE to dance. You are going to have so much fun!... and meet others as well and build some "commraderie and friendships" while doing so.

Its really great that you are taking care of yourself, we have to do that and make time for ourselves, because nobody else will do that for us. And its so true that we "Cannot" be there for others if we are unable to care for ourselves as well. So its great that you are starting to take it easy on yourself, and that you will also be starting a treatment program as well!... Sounds like you are taking some excellent steps in the right direction for yourself!... Way to go! Continue to keep up the awesome work that you are doing. Its so great to hear how you've been doing. Thank you for checking in this week and Please continue to let us know how things are going for you!

So I will see my MD tomorrow and comitt to riding my stattionary bike today and going to studio on Thursday. One day at a time righr?

Ok I will worry about the weekend when it comessmiley

@Dancersoul

Sorry to hear that you weren't doing all that great... Yes, the weather (and hormones, lucky usfrown) can surely have an impact on how we feel day to day.

Its ok, if you don't feel like working out on a certain day..... But I can understand feeling "un-motivated". But perhaps thinking about "what" motivates and inspires you to move could help? Keep a journal, watch your daily patterns, look for some "group classes" with like-minded people that help to motivate and inspire you!

I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble with Asthma. I'm sure that is not something you really wanted to deal with , but I'm glad to hear that your ok!.... I also can understand about how you feel about wanting to do something for the Holiday, but then feeling like theres a chance you could back out, and not wanting to "Pre-pay". I don't like doing that either, because you don't know what could possibly come up in that time. So I get it.

I hope that you managed to get motivated enough to take your "Thursday" class with the instructor that you like!... How was it?! What type of class is it?!

That is the thing about this "Healthy Living Journey" ...... like you stated "One Day at a Time"! Because thats all we can do! Take it day by day, step by step. And keep the faith that we will continue to reach whatever goals we have for ourselves!

Thank you so much for checking in this week! Its been so lovely to see you!.. Thanks for letting us know how things are going for you. Please continue to keep us posted on how you are doing. We are here to support you!
