Home Renovations
This reno is my kids shower.
Pictures for some reason are 90*
Demo complete, shortened a duct run to remove the bulkhead from the shower area. Extended a duct run to an upper floor bedroom.
Poured leveling cement on the floor. Now wait for it to cure.

One more tile to go, just gonna give the first ceiling tile a little bit of time to set.

@QuietByNature
You're almost there 👏🏻
Finally, now just have to wait for the thin-set to harden, usually 24 hrs.. Then time to grout.

@QuietByNature
Amazing job 💙😔
My daughter is bringing in a professional to do the caulking, that is one thing I can never get to look neat.
Grout work is done and after the caulking gets done, ill be back to mount the shower system.

@QuietByNature
Flying now 💜🤗
Holes drilled for shower system to hang and plumbed.
My daughter was like, yes now I can stop using the tub upstairs and shower 😬😬

@QuietByNature
Woah, you've got quite the skills. Your daughter must be proud. You've come a long way with this project!

It looks fabulous 🥰

Thanks 😊 🤗
Shower is now complete, daughter picked up a new vanity for me to install.
That I will start tomorrow morning after I see my grandkids off to daycare and school.
@QuietByNature
You're so amazing at everything you do. You'll definitely do an expert job with installing the vanity. Good luck! ❤️
@trueconfidant123
I second this 🧡
Got the shock of my life when I started to dismantle the vanity and drain.
The drain was not even glued in, the bathroom always had a sewer stink to it but we could not find where it was coming from.
The complete drain practically fell off when I was trying to cut it out.

Fell out in one piece 🫨

New vanity going in, all new drain properly connected

New faucet installed and no leaks 😊🤗
This project is now complete
Final touches done, just need to fix the drywall in the next week or so.

The electrical outlet had to be moved up for the backsplash. At the same time I brought it up to code with a GFCI.

@QuietByNature
Fab job 🥰
@Amanda84
I swear. The day I'm able to do this, it's over for everyone. 😂
I had to call the carpenter to repair my door lock yesterday lol. It's so tricky.
@trueconfidant123
Years of experience 🤪😁 and all it cost my daughter was some meals. 😊🤗
I enjoyed doing this project.
On to the next, one of my neighbors has a pesky water leak on a fairly new shower reno but for some reason does not want to call that company back. This one is going to be tricky.
@QuietByNature
You're pretty damn good at this. I'd actually love to see how you tackle the next project lol. Good luck with it! 🤗❤️
@QuietByNature
They are blessed to have you 💚
@Amanda84
I agree! 💯
@QuietByNature
Been gently following your progress when it popped up in my feed, and may I say, I am amazed by your progress and skill! It looks amazing! Well done you, it is really inspiring to see DIY projects like yours!
@Oscarthecat3
Thank you, hopefully I can inspire someone to give it a go 🤗
Maybe not in as much depth, but at least to try some DYI.
@QuietByNature
You have inspired me that is for sure! Thank you for sharing your project with us =)!
