Tofu anyone?
My family is not really into tofu, they don't like the texture usually, but I found a great way to transform tofu!
There is a great trick to removing the water content so that it can be crisper and and crunchier! All you have to do is take your block of tofu out of the container, cover it with a towel or cloth and place something heavy (books work well but be sure to have something between the towel/cloth and book so it doesn't get wet). Then leave the tofu to drain for an hour or as long as you can. Then you can just slice it or cut into cubes and bake it or pan cook it to get that beautiful golden crunch. Add your favorite spices to give it a delicious flavor!
Any other tofu lovers or recipes? Love to share them!

Tofu is my favorite food. I've been eating it daily for years. 😊
Tofu <3 love it so much!!! Where I am there are some brands now you don't need to press as they are already mostly pressed and its so much quicker ahha. Also if you can find it, smoked tofu. Omg, its so good!
I find tofu goes very well in stews and curries as well. Press if required and don't fry, just dump into a curry or stew and it will absorb all those delicious flavours. Tis so good :D omnomnomnnom.

I love tofu 👌
I love tofu!!! I haven't tried it yet, but I heard that if you drain your tofu then place it in the freezer for a few hours, it makes the texture amazing! I am definitely planning on trying it but we've been having some food shortages here, unfortunately. I also have a great tofu recipe that I will look up & link below. I'm very interested in more tofu recipes if anyone has them! :)

Tofu fan here! (*^▽^*) I’ve also got a recipe to share, too!
You need:
-1 block of super firm tofu
-3 cloves of garlic
-1 Tbsp olive oil
-1 & 1/2 Tbsps soy sauce
-2 Tbsps honey
-1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Drain and press the tofu. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes. Chop the garlic into fine pieces. Combine the chopped garlic with the soy sauce, honey and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Then add the tofu. (Be careful to not splash yourself with the hot oil.) Cook the tofu until all of the sides are crispy and golden-brown. (This may take a while and will involve lots of checking; I like to use chopsticks to flip the tofu over. Also, don’t be afraid to add more oil to keep the tofu from sticking to the pan.) When the tofu is almost ready, pour in the soy sauce mixture and stir-fry to coat the tofu evenly. Turn off heat and serve.
@TheAutumnWitch That actually sounds pretty good.
Does anyone know about the nutritional values of tofu? What about organic and gmo?
