Hello 7 Cups Community! We have a new and updated team for you to join: The Gamer Outreach Team!
🎮 What is the Gamer Outreach Team? 🎮
Its a team that focuses on the gaming side of the 7 Cups community. This project was previously started in December, 2014, but we are bringing it back freshly updated. Our goal is to a build a team to raise awareness and support for those who love gaming by holding discussions and other various activities!
🎮 What does the Gamer Outreach Team do? 🎮
- Host & Participate in Guided Discussions
- Activities and Posts in the Feed
- New threads and discussions in the forums
🎮 Who can join and how? 🎮
Absolutely anyone and everyone can join who wants to!
Simply fill out the form and a team leader will contact you. Successful applications will receive the 'Gamer Outreach' badge!
🎮 I already have the badge, what do I do now? 🎮
Anyone who has the badge from the previous version of the project have been contacted by a team leader. If you have the badge, and have not been contacted, please let us know!

Gamer Outreach Tracks
Tracks
There are 3 main tracks users may participate in to join Gamer Outreach. Each track has their own specific requirements and projects, this is known as a sub-track:
Discussions: Discussion Writer and Discussion Hosts
Forum: Forum Writer and Forum Supporter
Feed: Feed Writer and Feed Supporter
Discussions
Discussions are 30 - 60 Minute guided conversations in which the host asks participants a range of pre-written questions to keep conversation flowing. You will be handed a script, and you will select a timeslot to occupy so that you may host regular Discussions.
You may host alone as a Moderator. If you are not a Moderator but wish to host discussions, you will require a Moderator Co-host. It's advisable to have a Regular Co-Host buddy. Feel free to PM @MidniteAngel if you have any questions
Discussion Sub-Track
Discussion Writers
Discussions must be Pre-Written. If you have a topic you think is important to discuss, or wish to regularly write discussions for the team, feel free to join our Discussion Writer Subtrack. You must submit the discussions for approval to @MidniteAngel or through the form.
Discussion Hosts
If you would like to Host Discussions on a regular basis (Weekly or Fortnightly) feel free to join our Discussion Host subtrack. You must be a moderator to host discussions on your own. If you are not a Moderator, please Co-Host your discussions with another moderator
Forum
The forums are a space for posting written text threads or articles in which fellow users may contribute and collaborate. You may play games, have discussions, post resources, articles and other relevant news. For a little extra help check out our Forum 101 guide.
Forums Sub Track
Forum Writers
As a Forum Writer it is your job to create new threads, new articles or bring new relevant news and resources to the Gamer Outreach Forum Community
Forum Supporters
As a Forum Supporter it is your job to keep the threads active, and contribute on a regular basis to new Gamer Outreach Forum Posts. Simply liking some posts, or leaving a quick message on a thread is all it takes - it's all about joining in the fun.
Feed
The feed is a place for the 7 Cups community to share pictures, words, and other things together. People can repost things, or heart them. You can find the feed here.
Decorate your profile and keep your followers updated with new messages, hashtags, games, pictures and more in the Feed
Feed Sub-Track
Feed Writers
Feed writers make regular feed posts under a specific hashtag and tag other users. Feed writers may manage a hashtag of their own This helps to connect Gamer Outreach with the wider community
Feed Supporters
As a feed supporter your job is to regularly repost and heart feed posts relevant to Gamer Outreach

I currently have 2 messengers who can relay the message back to me - @Glue (Teen Listener) and @Oliver12 (Adult Teen Listener)
If you want a short or long conversation we could set up a time to talk and I'll set up a google docs so we can both converse there. That way you can always look back at it if you need extra guidance

Yeeesssssss we have our own forum category now! :D I'd love to join in, but I probably won't have the time to commit right now since my exams are getting really close. IFComp is coming up very soon, is anyone doing a thread on that? If not I might if I can find the time :P I'd love to discuss the entries with other people. At any rate I'll definitely be here watching to see how this all develops :P

You can always be a feed or forum supporter - all you have to do is repost or comment haha
