Book rec needed
Hi! I'm on a quest to read a few books. But dunno what should I read. Could y'all rec me a few books pls? (Any genre goes)
@SpacetimeScribe
I recently read a fiction novel called Watership down (its about rabbits, nothing to do with water or ships) I would recomend it.
The title always confused me hehe
Its also a Netflix series <3
Hello. Don’t know if this is a good suggestion but I always find Tolkien’s work very engaging. The Silmarillion is a great book, but it’s understandable if you wouldn’t want to tackle that. It’s huge and not a traditional narrative, plus it’s written in very Shakespearean speech. Which is very confusing on many times.
Parable of the Sower!
@SpacetimeScribe The secret history by Donna tartt
I'd suggest some of my more recent reads of Fred Backman -
- Anxious People
- A Man Called Ove
- My Friends
@ListenLitany All of these are feel-good kind, will leave you thinking, smiling and wishing you could read them all over again for the first time.
@ListenLitany
A man called Ove is one of my favorites!!
Mitch Albom’s books are great. Finding Chika and Tuesdays with Morrie are books about his real-life experiences: Chika is an ill orphan and Morrie is an old, dying man.
The Little Liar, also by Mitch Albom, is historical fiction set in WW2.
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath is about depression, very deep and thought provoking
Girl on the train
Metamorphosis
To kill a mockingbird
The book thief
The hating game
The hate you give
The Book Thief is soooo good! Although it confused me the first time I read it lol
