Favorite YouTube Channel

April 10th, 2023

Hello. I spend most of my screen time on YouTube, whether I'm relaxing or trying to calm down. YouTube vids are my go-to to keep myself from being alone with my big meanie thoughts.

So I just thought I'd share my most favorite wholesome channel with you guys. They're amazing people, and I learn a lot from them too.

They are called Cinema Therapy, lead by a liscened therapist, Jonathan; and a professional filmmaker, Alan. This is such a wholesome channel that goes deep dive with film and movies and gives really insightful thoughts.

All time favorite video: Therapist reacts to Inside Out. I come back to this video time to time and it never fail to make me cry, it's that amazing.

My favorite quotes from them that stuck with me:

"Positivity is a wonderful thing, as long as it's real. And if it's not real, then you're lying to yourself"

"The belief that you're destined to fail is just a perception"

They also have variety of topics such as Gaslighting, Relationships and many more.

So what is your favorite YouTube channel/video? Or recommendations?

@BeeLive

I have to check it out! It sounds just like my cup of tea :p

I’m a psych major, so I enjoy watching a channel called “Real Stories” that shows a lot of psych documentaries!💜

I checked Real Stories out, and I love it. I've enjoyed binged-watching their stuff throughout the Holy Week. Thank you for the recommendation 😊

I have a couple of favourites.   My first favourite channel was  Bandgeek8408.   The Youtuber's main thing was Book vs. Movie reviews.  But before he did them, and pre- Youtube getting rid of the option to intersect other videos to the main videos, some of youtuber's earlier works have since no longer work.

I like Dharr Man videos because it teaches most of the time good lessons.  "Don't judge a person until you walk in their shoes",   "The Grass isn't always greener on the other side",  etc.

There's a channel I like and its called Pattycake Productions, their early work was they did versions of fairytales (Snow White,  Cinderella, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast) to different songs of pop sings (Snow=Spears, Cinderella=Swift, TLM=Grande, and I think B&tB=Bieber).  In either 2018 or 2019.. the two creators created an OG series called the Villians' Lair.

Its basically is the villians of the Disney movie trying to be able to turn back time, in order to be the ones who win instead of the good people who actually did in the originally.  Some of the episodes have songs=originally songs that is,  and others is just dialogue.   There's a complete first season on their channel and its 6 eposides in of its 2nd Season.

With the exception of Captain Hook, all the other villians (and to the extend sidekicks) all seem to have walked out of their animated movie.  EQ=1937, LT=1950,  QOH 1951, Smee=1953,  Malfient 1959,   Cruella Deville 1961, etc.     Hook's costume on the other hand, looks more like the 1991 Robin William's Hook movie costume.    But other then that the mannerism of the characters are spot-on from the animated movie.
