A walk. Every lunchtime, for about half an hour. Don't go far, just get outside. Whatever the weather. Engage with nature, step away from my desk and get things in perspective.

Running.
I was always the overweight girl at school, never good at any sport.
When I got older I started walking (like long long walks) and started to feel pain on my right hip. At first I thought "same old me, never good at any sport, go figure I can't even walk".
But then I found out I had hip impingement, and had surgery to correct it.
I met an amazing pt that took care of my prehab and rehab, and really rewired my brain. He made me realize I could actually do sports, that I was capable of doing more than I always thought I could do. And around 1 year after my surgery I started running.
At the beginning I could only do a couple of meters and then I was feeling like I was about to die. But I kept attempting to run, and slowly built it up. I would occasionally get pains everywhere, my body wasn't really ready or adapted after my surgery so it wasn't a straight line.
But I kept going and now I am able to run for 8-10 km and love the feeling of accomplishment it gives me. And I still find it incredible that I actually manage to do it.
So yeah... This is what makes me happy lately
That's amazing! I'm happy for you.
