I just wanted a way to relax. I feel like I'm on the edge everyday. When I practice guitar I feel relaxed and at ease.

My hobby gains me income, it is a furniture restoration mini-business run from inside my shed. i got into it because I wanted a first job that gets a lot of money.

I got into singing since I loved music at a young age. I would practice singing and went into choir when I was from 6th to 8th grade. I was in choir all through high school, and took a women’s choir class in college. It was amazing to sing and others hear me sing like they had to see something good I loved doing. I loved the compliments I would get from people.

What got me into many of my hobbies was simply sheer boredom! Growing up, I often found myself trying new things because I did not own an iPad or phone until later in life. Now, as I navigate adulthood, I carry with me the many skills I had previously sharpened, such as painting, photography, scrapbooking, and reading!

I had lost a very close friend (30) to an accident. During his remembrance meeting sometime mentioned that we must not have any unfulfilled desire. The very next day I joined music class to learn to play the flute.
That’s a really good thing to think about. I should take a drumming class…

My main hobby is working on my classic car. It's my outlet, gets me focused on doing something mechanical and clears my mind of any other thoughts. Been slowly chipping away at the same car for the past 18 years. Some years it might only be a couple of days for the whole year but it makes me happy.
2nd hobby would be, home maintenance. My pops when he was alive, tought me a lot on home repair and I continue today. Whether it's my home or helping someone else.

I have quite a few I cycle through randomly, but the one I'll mention is creative writing. I have always been very imaginative, and love stories in general - whether they be in books, comics, movies, manga, artwork, and tv shows. Stories mean a lot to me, because they give me a sense of comfort and stimulates my brain at once (if it's a good one). I also thinks stories are a critical and foundational aspect of the human experience that is often overlooked due to how innate it is to the human experience. So to answer your question, I got into creative writing because after consuming so many stories, my mind developing its own stories, and I felt the need to write them down as a way to bring them to life - even if they are for my eyes only.

Thank you! I think for now, my stories are a personal expression of creativity and a way to vent, but I always dream of someday becoming a good enough writer who is comfortable sharing their work with others. That's why I also sometimes call these short stories, my warm up or practice works.
