Amazing book! I forget books easily, but I will always remember being deeply moved by the way Scout's father parents her; I don't remember the content of their conversations (it's been over a decade!), but I remember being impressed at the time with how healthy and loving they seemed🌻

I can still vividly remember their entire cast of characters and moments from the story. It’s been more than a decade since I first read it. I have to second this opinion!
I read the first part of Game of Thrones and decided it was the best book I ever read.
Purchased the next 3 parts in excitement but life turned around and there has been no time to read it.
I hope I get to it in a future not too far away.

I don't have any single book that I could call my favourite, but when I think of the most important or memorable novels I read across the years, I think of (among others):
Daphne du Maurier "The Scapegoat"
John Wyndham "The Chrysalids" and "The Day of the Triffids"
Aldous Huxley "Brave New World"
John Steinbeck "The Winter of Our Discontent"
Jeffrey Archer "Kane and Abel"
Pat Conroy "The Great Santini"
Bernard Malamud "The Assistant"
From what I have read recently, the most interesting were the "Murderbot Diaries" series by Martha Wells, and "Apokryf Agłai" by Jerzy Sosnowski. The latter, I believe, might be available only in Polish language, and it's a story of a man seduced by a robotic woman remotely controlled by a female KGB agent.
