National Dog Day Event: Day 2 - Pictures 📷
Hello everyone! Welcome back to Day 2 of the National Dog Day Event, a collaboration between the Student & Career Support subcommunity, Teen Only Zone, and Hobby Zone! As an emphasis, the purpose of the National Dog Day Event is to celebrate dogs of all breeds and to take a chance to show our appreciation for them!
Recounting yesterday's event, we shared our most exciting, unforgettable memory of our dogs or dogs that we met! If you have not checked it out yet and would like to share a memory of any dogs, check it out here!
Today's event will be focusing on sharing adorable pictures of our dogs or dogs we found on the Internet! The purpose of this event is for all of us to show our appreciation for our dogs and their support, and admire each other's heart-warming dogs through photos! In order to participate in this event, we would like for everyone to participate in the following activities!

Icebreakers!
1. What was a time your dog supported you? If you haven't had a chance to get to know a dog, what is one way that you can think of that a dog might be able to support you?
2. What was something you did to show your appreciation for them? If you haven't had a chance yet, what is something you would like to do to show your appreciation for their support?
Activity and Picture Time!
We would love to have everyone post a photo of their dog, a friend's dog, or a dog you found on the Internet that you love, appreciate, or want! If you already know how to post a picture, awesome! Here are the steps for those who are having trouble uploading pictures through imgur.com:
1. Please open up a new browser page, and type in imgur.com or click here.
2. On the top left corner, next to the words imgur, there is a green button that says 'New Post,' and please click it.
3. There are 3 ways you can upload the photo onto imgur.com: dropping/dragging the image there, choosing photo, or pasting the image url.
4. Once you have uploaded the photo, please click copy link.
5. Next, please come back to this thread, press Post to Thread, and press the image icon (the second icon from the right). From there, paste the url of the picture and readjust the size as needed!

**Side note: As much as some people love dogs, there are many of us that are afraid or dislike dogs, which is perfectly natural! For this event, we would like you to share another animal of your choice!

Luna sounds super cute; I am like in love with huskies. I am super glad that she is always there for you to support you, and I agree that dogs definitely likes cuddles :)

awww, oh my, is that a Chow Chow? They are like super fluffy with like a super special-colored tongue (was it black and blue? I sort of forgot), and I also heard that they are super loyal and protective, but then which dogs aren't (:
I agree that dogs can honestly be our best friend because of their constant support, and they are super loyal as well. I suppose a way to think of it is that while humans can leave, dogs will stick with us. Also, volunteering at an animal shelters sounds honestly super amazing to help out and just be there for them as well :)

My dog gave me motivation for going outside to run or walk. They help me want to stay healthy!
2. What was something you did to show your appreciation for them? If you haven't had a chance yet, what is something you would like to do to show your appreciation for their support?
I show appreciation to my toy poodle and husky by giving them lots of love, giving them baths, and washing their fur.

aww, thank you for sharing a cute photo of your dog!! The idea of our dogs keeping us healthy is definitely a new idea brought up, and I completely agree that they give us motivation to go outside and exercise. Also, I am sure that they are super happy of all the attention you give them as well as cleaning/grooming them as well :)

My lil baby boy Sam was a bundle of joy and happiness he was a super serious godalmost like a grumpy grandpa 😅 I lost him pretty early this year july i miss him really bad

I am sure that he was definitely super joyful at the same time very serious as well :) Ahh, I love those dogs that would just walk around grumply! *sighs sadly* I am really sorry for your loss, and I am sure that the past 2 months has been really hard. I wish you all the best *big hugs*

I no longer have my sweet dog as he passed away a few years ago from old age, but my Sammy was an amazing pup! He always wanted love from anyone he met and would snuggle when you were feeling sad. Or when not snuggling he was a sassy Pomeranian who would bark at you when he wanted something.

I really love how Sammy cuddles with people when they feel sad, and I am glad that he always enjoys attention and being loved! I am sorry for your loss :( but I am sure that he lived a very happy and great life with you. I love how you mentioned him barking when he wants attention, that honestly made me smile :)

2. What was something you did to show your appreciation for them? If you haven't had a chance yet, what is something you would like to do to show your appreciation for their support? Something I would like to do to show my appreciation for their support is throw them a dog-friendly celebration or party.

I really like the idea that dogs can help us remember certain things, such as taking medicine! (I actually have not thought of that :)) and hosting a party and celebration for them is super awesome and heartwarming! I am sure that the dogs would be super happy to meet everyone, and maybe have a few dogs over at the party :)

I had a dog named Midknight. He was my ESA for my bipolar 1. He was never trained for picking up on it at all. He would comfort me. When he noticed the slightest change in me he would start to follow me and then as it progressed he would put his head on me and then he would just lay on me or if I was in bed he would not leave me. I rescued him from a shelter. I had him from 5 months to 13 years. Here was lab/great Dane/pitbull mix. I tried adding a picture, but I didn't figure it out.

aww, I really love how Midknight is able to support you as your emotional support assistant! My heart is legit warming at the thought of him comforting you, always being there for you, and just accompanying you. I am really glad that you rescued him from a shelter, and I am sure that the past 13 years or so with him must have been wonderful! Thank you for sharing this awesome story, and it's no worries about the pictures :) however, if you would still like to share a photo, I found that using https://postimages.org is much more effective than imgur! (If you use postimages, please copy the "direct link" -2nd option to upload the photo!) Once again, thank you for sharing how Midknight was able to support you!
