Who are we?

Let's be honest, the more people we meet in a day, the more we change our personality. It's sometimes crazy to think that so many people know so many versions of me. But which one's the real you? Is it the one where I'm with my friends cause we are pretty open with each other. Or maybe my parents considering they gave birth to me, i would probably be true to them. In reality i believe no version is truer than the one we are with ourselves.

I talk to myself all the time and i act to different than my introvert self with others. It's uncanny. The duality of my personality. I still question myself. Who am I?

Who are you? Which one is the true you? Or is it all the same? How do you even figure that out

@HealingWhispers8080 I greatly enjoyed reading your post! <3

"In reality I believe no version is truer than the one we are with ourselves."

These are you words and I couldn't agree more! I, too, believe it has to do with who we are when we are with ourself. Humans are social creatures. I mean, it's in our nature. We are flexible. We can change and adapt based on who we are around and our environment. Humans just want to fit in, be liked, and felt accepted. At the end of the day, regardless of who we are around or how much people claim to know us... we need to be true to ourself. Not doing so can lead to a very unhappy life.

I am 35+ and the question of "who are you?" has always been one that stumps me. Sure, I know about me... but I don't really know me. I suppose it has to do with my own mental health issues and chemical imbalances in my brain, perhaps my personality disorders, etc. Or maybe it's because deep down I know that any thought or belief that is supposed to me "mine" has been influenced by others in one way or another. Maybe that is just how we are conditioned, I don't know for sure. But I do know, that we should be true to ourself and that we should be kind to ourself. I am going to just keep being the Desiree that I am happy and content with being and the parts of me I am not too proud of, I will just keep working on that. :)
