If your thoughts had a personality, who would be talking?
Imagine your negative thoughts weren't you, but a character. Would they be a strict parent? An overdramatic friend? A paranoid investigator? Sometimes giving our thoughts a personality helps us create distance and not take them so seriously.
If your negative thoughts were a character, who would they be and what would they say?
How would you respond to them if they were a separate person instead of your own voice?

Love this 🥰
My thoughts currently would be more of a mischievous, spontaneous , do what you want Queen 😁👑
@Amanda84
A full on slayy indeed!

🤗
I feel like it would be half Garfield/half Daria, sleepily procrastinating, Ask me again tomorrow, you know I hate Mondays. This is me time, I'm eating the contents of my kitchen.
I'd be a mixture of eye rolls and exasperation and probably laughter. Get it out of your system, but after that hop to it Darfield
@ScrabbleBrain
Love an eye roll 😂 🩷
@Amanda84 the eyes can be sassy and divaesque too 😒
@ScrabbleBrain
Absolutely 🤗
@listeningyouout29
mine would be a plethora of personalities:
one fearful and timid
one slothful, bored
one angry and resentful
one hiding an unorthodox indulgence
looking at the above, it almost like inside out in real life 🤣
@listeningyouout29 my thoughts would be the hamburglar

@Tinywhisper11 and if I was another person (dog) I'd do this to him

@listeningyouout29
My thoughts are giving me a good ticking off for being naive enough to see the good in people that I had begun to trust and appreciate to only end up hurt and disappointed, they're telling me to grow a thicker skin 😕😕

For me, my negative thoughts would be like a mischievous little goblin—always poking and prodding me, trying to annoy me and make me feel worse. It almost feels like it enjoys creating doubt or discomfort.
It would probably say something like, “Making you feel miserable is fun for me.”
If I treated it as a separate character, I would respond by not giving it attention. I’d say something like, “I’m not going to feed you or listen to you—you don’t control me.”
