Mirrored Image
Today I would like to speak on a topic called "Mirrored Image" it's not what you would think, it is not looking at yourself in the mirror. However, this is discussion solely based on the image you family sees you in, what you see of yourself and what your trusted friends see of you. This discussion would belong in the section 4 (Collaborating).
Often times, we as humans catch ourselves wanting to heal and recover from things that often have lead us astray. Now what we often forget is who are truly healing and recovering for. I would like for you all to take a moment and remember a time where you thought you were healing for yourself, but you were actually healing for someone else at their personally created rate.
I want you to think of this time, then i would like for you to think of where you are at now. Before we get into the discussion questions I would to take the time to congratulate everyone of you for getting this far in your journeys and I'm very proud of you! Now for the discussion questions:
1. When was the last time you asked someone you trusted how they viewed you based on their own perspective?
2. Why do you feel that they are correct or incorrect of their perspective of you?
3. What are some positive highlights you see in yourself at this current moment?
*My answer will also be in the comments <3
1. When was the last time you asked someone you trusted how they viewed you based on their own perspective? The last time I asked someone of their perspective of me was a week or so ago
2. Why do you feel that they are correct or incorrect of their perspective of you? I feel that they were correct of their perspective of me, because I truly have done the things they were speaking of and it made me happy to see someone noticed it, but also made me realized that sometimes validation is necessary when it comes to certain things.
3. What are some positive highlights you see in yourself at this current moment? The positive highlights that I have seen within myself have been the changes not only to my physical health, but my routine for my self-care and self-love. Another positive highlight is that I no longer allow myself to be gaslit by anyone not even myself over things that matter to me.
@InsightfulPhoenix people view me as kinda childlike. Which is fair enough. Cause I'm learning so much all the time. And everything is still kinda new to me, so I ask and say things sometimes that young children would ask. Also I do get very excited over little things. So I guess that's all positive. But my self image, well I'm never gonna truly be at peace with myself. But I'm trying ❤❤
