Practicing Empathy in Group Work 🤝💭

Recently, I’ve been thinking about empathy ❤️, especially when working in groups. Sometimes it can feel frustrating 😅 when not everyone is equally involved, but I’m starting to realise that people may be dealing with things we don’t always see 👀.

Taking a moment to understand others instead of reacting straight away 🧠 has helped me feel calmer 😌 and more patient. It also makes communication feel less tense and more productive 💬✨.

💭 Questions:

  • Have you ever felt frustrated in a group situation? 😕 How did you handle it?
  • How do you try to understand others’ perspectives when things don’t go as expected? 🤔

In groups situations it can be difficult but not everyone gets to speak or are seen

The loudest personalities usually reign.

I think miscommunications are often common, I think honesty and being willing to see think from other people's points of view helps, but I equally think everyone in the group should be included and people shouldn't gang together 💙🤗

Hi Ava,

I understand where you’re coming from. As a university student, I often find myself working in groups as well. I’ve found that being open and starting conversations can help others feel more comfortable expressing their opinions about a topic. However, I understand that this isn’t always the case.
