Self-Awareness

Often, we find ourselves saying, “I don’t even know why I feel this way.” We struggle to stay happy while juggling countless thoughts, emotions, and responsibilities, all in an effort to maintain balance.

But one thing I’ve learned especially from the IDG course is that what’s often missing is self-awareness. We rarely pause to check in with ourselves, to ask “What am I really feeling?” or “Why am I reacting this way?” Instead, we rush through life without taking time to understand our inner world.

Self-awareness is the foundation for emotional growth and stronger relationships especially the one we have with ourselves. When we learn to observe our thoughts and feelings without judgment, we begin to manage our emotions with more wisdom and compassion.

If you’re working on building a healthier relationship with yourself or seeking emotional balance, start with self-awareness. Sit with your feelings. Listen to yourself. Offer understanding before criticism. The more you connect with what’s happening inside, the better you can nurture peace within and around you.

When was the last time you truly listened to what your heart was trying to tell you?

@BMGSerein

I like to reflect on my actions daily, to be more aware and learn more about why I react to things and to be more attentive of other people's feelings 💜🥰
