Self-Awareness

Self-awareness feels like turning on a light in a room you’ve been stumbling around in for years. Everything was always there: your fears, triggers, strengths, and patterns. But now you can finally see them.
I thought I was self-aware until I realized most of my decisions came from automatic reactions. Someone's tone would unsettle me, and I’d quickly assume they were annoyed. A mistake at school would lead me to think that I'm not good enough.
The more I observe my thoughts without judging them, the easier it is to move through life with intention instead of impulse. That feels like growing up in the best way possible.
Now, I approach myself with curiosity rather than criticism. Why did that comment upset me so much? Why did I pull back in that conversation? What was I afraid of in that moment? The answers aren't always easy, but they are honest. That honesty helps me live more intentionally instead of being controlled by my emotions.

Reflective questions:

What’s one behavior you’ve recently noticed about yourself that surprised you?

I've realised I can actually do more and am stronger than I give myself credit for 🥰
