tw: deep discussion/questions/beauty from within/ mentions of society and circumstantial validations

Good afternoon everyone, I know that I usually write my posts early in the mornings, but today I decided to be different because it's okay to be different and change things around now and then. I would like to discuss the topic, " Shining from Within", this topic hits home for me because it serves a purpose. This discussion will take place in sections 1, sections 2, sections 4 and sections 5.

When you think of shining do you think immediately of an inanimate object? Do you give yourself time to ponder on what object pops into your mind within that instant or do you dismiss the feeling altogether, both reactions are valid and very much normal. When we think of things as individuals we usually associate shining with inanimate objects, but never something metaphorical and/or internal. Which again is very much okay.

For the longest time, beauty has been classified as elegance and appearances that are appealing to the human eye. This kind of thinking is toxic and can be very harmful, due to the many differences within the Earth's population. Differences create diversity, and some on this planet do not like diversity, and would rather cause adversity for someone looking, thinking, or just being different overall. When you dive into Diversity what is the first thought and emotion that comes up with these associated thoughts? What about Adversity, are you able to channel those thoughts and emotions too?

Diversity and Adversity are the most important terms to recognize when it comes to society's terms and recommendations. It's more than okay to disagree with someone's choices and it is more than okay to find different ways to go about a situation/circumstance. No one ever handles the situation a similar way, but what is not okay is creating Adversity amongst anyone for thinking in an opposite direction. Which is where shining from within comes to mind, internal beauty. Internal Beauty is more dignifying and respectable, because anyone can have a beautiful external, and have a terrible internal thought process. However, choosing kindness and remaining compassionate to others even if they are disrespectful, insincere, and unloving to you. Will always be the best quality to smile about.

Questions:

1. What are your forms of Diversity and Adversity?
2. When was the last time you thought about your own internal beauty?

3. How did this make you feel?

@InsightfulPhoenix

It's great that you're exploring such an important topic. Internal beauty and the concept of shining from within are indeed powerful ideas that can greatly impact how we perceive ourselves and others. Here are some thoughts on your questions:

Diversity and adversity can manifest in various forms, both internally and externally. Internally, diversity can include different aspects of personality, beliefs, values, and perspectives. Externally, diversity can refer to differences in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and more. Adversity can arise from challenges, obstacles, and difficult circumstances that individuals face in their lives.

Reflecting on one's internal beauty can be a profound experience. It involves recognizing and appreciating the qualities that make you unique, compassionate, empathetic, and kind. It's about acknowledging your strengths, resilience, and capacity for growth.

Thinking about internal beauty can evoke a range of emotions, from pride and confidence to humility and gratitude. It can also bring a sense of peace and contentment, knowing that true beauty lies not in outward appearances but in the goodness of one's heart and character.
