I sometimes resent my family for keeping me alive.
I tell everyone that I'm okay and getting better. When I've really been thinking about suicide even more.
I didn't really stop self-harming when everyone thought I did. I kept it a secret and quit when I was ready.
I spent almost a year trying to make one of my "friends" happy, when she always stabbed me in the back. So I cut her out of my life and basically dropped off the face of the earth.
I have a listener account, but I feel like I shouldn't because I'm such a mess.
sometimes that makes you a better listener. You can relate, empathize and helping others will build your self worth up as well.
I want to self-harm again.
Hey [Edited by moderator for providing social media]
I cry at least once a day then pretend nothing happened.
Yah ik how you feel. It hurts that no one can understand that inside we are really reaching out for someone to catch us when we fall. And we will
My mom doesn't realize how thin our walls are and that I can hear her talking on the phone to her "friends". I know how she really feels about me.
Same! I'm always hearing how much an issue I am... It sucks. I feel you.
The listeners on here put up with a lot from us. I feel kind of bad. I know that chose to spend their time here and stuff, but they don't get thanked enough. I really want to do something for them.
I feel very insecure and ashamed that I have a personality disorder. I'm still struggling with self-harm and suicidal thoughts, and I often feel that I am something of a failure for it. In essence, I became the person I never thought I would become, the type of person I once regarded with disdain. Now, I understand thoughts and feelings I never imagined I would come to experience.Because of the obstacles and trials I have faced due to my illness, I have lost the person I used to be. I'm slowly trying to find her again, but I know that I will only find what is left of her mangled carcass. When I do find her, I will try to remember who she was, and then I'll bury her in an unmarked grave. Maybe then I can learn to accept myself and feel slightly more at peace.
@Raven,
Personality disorders are hell. My heart goes out to you as I struggles with one myself and can identify with each and everything you've said here. I then also know that there is nothing I can say to alleviate your ache. Just please know, you are never alone and you should not feel shame about something you have no control over. There are ways to cope with this, however debilitating. Take care. ![]()
No one knows how severe my depression is. No one knows I'm depressed.
Same... Depression feels like such a personal thing. Talking about it feels just a weird as talking about underwear.
I definitely don't feel comfortable talking about it. Like I'll be judged or looked at as weak.
