I sometimes resent my family for keeping me alive.
I sometimes just want to run away to an island, with no one.
@Gibberish55
I dream about that too. For me it is a cabin in a forest, away from society. Quiet. Pure quiet. I think that sometimes I crave pure silence.
I sometimes have insecurities of my looks and I'm afraid I'm gonna fall of my self-love wagon
@cuddlyHugs123
Self love is not all about looks. It is about your laugh, your smile, your smarts, your love of the wee beasties, and so much more
@braveKitten4951
couldn't agree more with you!
I recently got into a car crash - nothing serious. But the thing is I don't really like the pity others give me, but on the other hand I don't want to pretend to be strong all the time. Gahhhhh! I'm so confused about my own feelings
@DreamHope Yeah I know what you mean. I had to reframe what I was thinking in order to help me feel better about it. I just thought this is their way of expressing that they love and care about you, it may not come across as that, but they are trying. So I had to take it for what it was, and remember, they love me and are trying to express it, the way they know how. If your friend was in an accident, how would you show your concern? How do you want others to show their concern? Maybe giving them an example, might help them to make things better?
When I see people throw gargabe out of their car window I want to go after them with a bat
@braveKitten4951
I know it makes you angry to see people abusing the earth and the natural impulse is to want to "go after" them. But really, unless you can catch up with them at a rest stop and have a friendly chat- there is no way to help that particular person realize the significance of their actions. That anger only hurts YOU. When I see something like that, I draw on the emotion of pity- either they don't know better of they don't care. Either way, I probably can't change them. But I can make a point to pick up trash on my daily walk and that makes me feel better. Stay calm braveKitten.
@MusicCandy and @braveKitten4951 I'm going to have to agree with Brave Kitten on this one. What makes one angry, just makes one angry. It's as simple as that.
I confess that I've done a lot of stupid things... but I grew from them, and now I'm a better person. So the stupid things that I did were necessary.
I lied on a depression screening test because I was ashamed and scared of being disowned.
@MCRfan i did too. I left out that i was very homocidal and i starved and purged.... Ur not alone.
@MCRfan It's a common thing to be afraid if someone leaves you.
@MCRfan
I've done this too. I went to the ER after passing out due to my heart beating erratically and my mother was there. The doctor asked me a whole lot of question relating to depression, anxiety, and suicide and I lied on all of then because my family have threatened to disown me if I ever looked for help since they don't believe in mental illness.
I didn't tell my best friend about my health condition because he would force me to see a doctor.
I know I should eat. I have not eaten enough today. I can't tell when I'm hungry and when I'm not. It just feels like I'm eating too much if I eat more than 1-2 meals per day. And yet I'm still not eating and my stomach and throat feel weird and I feel a little light-headed. I see fat where there is muscle, my partner says I'm above average when it comes to fitness. I have no reason to starve like this. And yet. And yet. I don't want to eat.
I'm gonna eat.
@GruesomeRed Maybe you lost your appetite. I have and it makes me just uninterested in food. There are things you can do to open your appetite, there are drugs prescribed by your doctors, as a last resort but I think this situation should not be ignored. Sometimes, eating something sweet before your meal, will make you eat easier. Try bland foods. Meal replacements with cereal. Some foods are just easier to go down than others. For me peanut butter and bananas on bread was what I ate everyday for months, because that was all I could eat. I didn't eat for some time, about a year, and it left me in the hospital for a few days, being fed by IV and then I had a long road of recovery. I wasn't even stick thin or look anorexic but I still ended up in the hospital.
@GruesomeRed
I think you're on your way, to regaining some control over your body, and I hope that is something you might have reason to feel too, because it is not easy. Thank you for having gone to eat on that day.
I'm an atheist at a tiny Christian high school. I can't tell anyone for fear of losing the only friends I've ever had because of my social anxiety.
@AzurePhoenix
You told us, and we don't judge you. I'm a Christian and I have a lot of friends of all kinds of faiths, or no faith. We are here to listen no matter what.
