I did 3 things:
Syllabus, cats, and s's interests
Dear God, thank you for blessing me with supportive family and supportive friends and nimble coworkers. I have made half my syllabus, and invented a journal prompt.
Task
-create quiz, introduction, answers, question.
-comment 10 more get to know u papers (strength, fun hobby, and subject competent)
-create a Monday agenda, game for community to play. And to sanitize desks, at end of day.
ah. okay.
RN, I am defining the 3 relaxing activities I will have students to do. I know them already: Attendance, SEL check in to check the room, who feels comfortable to share? , today's you will write for 3 minutes wffp, this writing is for you to put your thoughts on paper. This is your person writing time. I can share mine -- if I feel comfortable.
3rd week forward positivity interactions.
I feel good about these things.
1. I helped two students leave their skateboards in the room until the end of the day. They were comfortable to ask to leave it. Per.4
2. A student offered me milk tea machine. A student in the same class who is shy and doesn't like to share his writing asked me to see his writing. I thought it was great his challenge was similar to the student next to him. When his friend noticed the shy friend shared, he gave him a high five. Per. 3 is quite a team player and are positive. I know they will continue to encourage each other.
3. Per.4 today I saw they were on task. The grades were inputted for the latest assignment by the TA who is helpful. I have a student next to me who asks everyday what we will be doing. I like the routine and it also makes sure I have clearer learning objectives. He initiates and participates in sharing out.
4. In 6th period I definitely use lessons on them as they are the class to finish All activities first. They are hardworking and on task. A few students on here are honest and give feedback that the text for today's analysis is too easy & childish. It's good feedback. I assured the next text will be grade level. This means I can change the story for the 4 periods. They did not get to the story, so changing it to the short story can increase their interest to analyze it.
