Mittens and some normalcy

Today was nicer than most others, I got to stay home and did get to see a doctor which set my mind at ease even if I do have to wait for monday for the results it is certainly better than doing this without knowing when or how I will receive help. After the doctors visit I stayed home and remained in my room as I used to before all of this, it is actually my first time being alone for an extended period of time and I haven't had any overwhelming anxiety. I was well enough to even read a bit and play my games which felt nice, and reminded me of the comfort I used to get back when things were normal.
I say normal but apart of my worry is that I'll never be the same, that I wont be able to snap back to whats "normal" after a simple surgery. Instead I will forever be changed and scarred, looking back into how things once were, I know with time I will eventually adjust but will I do so fully?
It's uncertainty that I never really liked but at least things are looking a bit better through this rollercoaster of ups and downs. At least Im ending today off peacefully with a nice read and in my fluffy jacket.
Take care, stay warm, and have a nice time - Mittens 3/28/2025
