If you're interested in the ramblings of a middle-aged man with chronic conditions who, at times, sees things a little too clearly for his own good, then read on.
Sometimes I get political, but it won't be all the time.
I don't mind comments in general but if you're going to differ with what I write, that's fine--as long as you can explain your position clearly & reasonably. Rants, shouting & general incoherence will be ignored or flagged, depending on the situation. Try to remember that not everyone else in this world holds your beliefs.
Every so often I may post art or snapshots of projects I'm working on.
If you're still interested after reading all the above, great. (I do wonder at how much time you have on your hands, though)
After doing little to nothing & stewing in depression for a couple days, I finally said "phuq it" & drove up to Jax yesterday afternoon...
Sometimes, the only thing that improves your mood is pointless frivolity.

Yesterday & the day before I wanted to hang out in the other online community I'm a member of, but the website is down... Apparently it's for server maintenance or something.
On a brighter note, one of my little projects (art-related) is almost done. Also, for a while now one of the pins in the handle-shaft joint in one of my beater canes was slowly backing out. The only possible reason for it would be that the metal rod underneath it was starting to back out, too....a side effect of dropping the cane on hard surfaces a few dozen times. Yesterday I finally fixed it.
Now all that's left is sanding & refinishing--both canes, #5 & #8. Sure they're beaters but I'd still prefer that they look good, or at least not completely f***ed up....
...with everything else going on I hardly need anything else to do. Even knowing that, lately I've been feeling the urge to build another cane. 🙄 It's ridiculous but there you go.

Got a couple shots yesterday...vaccines. Necessary, yes, but right now I still feel like 💩.
Would like to scav some more rubble from the dump site I found a while back. I definitely need to resume logging on my land. But right now I don't feel like doing anything too strenuous, TBH.
I'm not sure if I'll get anything done today, or tomorrow.... 😒

@unassumingEyes While I know we both maintain our anonymity on here for good reason, I gotta be honest: while I don't want to know exactly where you are, I dearly hope you are not anywhere in the northwest. From what I've read/heard about it, Pak's government does not control that region...the border with Afghanistan is like a rusty sieve. During our occupation there, Taliban fighters & other insurgents slipped back & forth through there all the time.

*whew* I'm relieved... Pakistan has its problems for sure (isn't that true everywhere?) but with few exceptions, the most horrific state of affairs is when the government is weak or entirely absent.
There are those who believe injustice is the worst possible phenomenon, but such people are almost always coddled Westerners of narrow experience. No...disorder is worse than injustice. Because without social order there is no justice for anyone.
