I tried journaling

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share that I journaled consistently for about half a year, and it really helped me understand my emotions and recognize patterns in my thinking. It was like having a mini-therapy session with myself-clearing my head and making sense of what was going on inside.

What made it even more special is that I never had a diary as a kid, so this was new and exciting for me-a private space just for myself to be honest and open.

I took a break for a couple of months because I was moving, but now I’m feeling inspired to start again because it was honestly so useful. If you haven’t tried journaling, I definitely recommend giving it a shot!

Journaling truly is a therapeutic experience! So glad to hear you’ve found it helpful in recognising your emotions and thoughts more also! Keep it up!

@Nemonemonemo1
hey thanks for sharing this

I felt super connected to what you wrote

I started journaling kind of randomly a few months ago, didn’t really expect it to help that much but it honestly did... like it felt like unloading stuff i didn’t even know i was carrying, you know? sometimes i’d just ramble and other times something really clicked

someone told me about this "journal" called calyssa.ai , it's like an ai journal that talks back and helps you dig a little deeper, it connects between entries and gives you better feedback, i wasn’t sure at first but it’s been really comforting tbh

do you usually journal with prompts or just go with the flow? i’m trying to find what works best for me too

Hi! Thank you for sharing! I’ve never tried an AI journal, I didn’t even know this existed - I will definitely try it out! I did my journaling in an old school way 😅 In a notebook. I would just write all about my day and how I felt, whatever bothered me. Sometimes I would follow a list of questions, you can find different variations of those online.

I think any way is a good way as long as it works for you but writing things out on a paper always felt the most effective and relaxing to me ☺️
